In Bedford County, Virginia, a school bus driver and an aide are being named in a shocking $20 million lawsuit that claims the two abused Timothy Kilpatrick, a young autistic boy, back in 2009.
The women, Alice Davis Holland (the bus driver) and Mary Alice Evans (a special education bus aide) were convicted of assault and battery following the incident, but it seems new problems for the two former district employees are on the horizon.
According to allegations, the Holland and Evans had repeatedly physically abused the then 11-year-old boy. Ryan Edwards, a spokesperson for Bedford County Schools, says that neither of the women have been employed by the district since September of 2009. And WSLS.com has more about the legal penalty they faced for the allegations waged against them:

I forsee this as typical ‘treatment’ under government ‘Obamacare’.
Be afraid
That is insane. Two months jail time?! That’s it?!
I worked with disabled adults several years ago. One of the females became very violent with me. All I could do was stand my ground and let her beat me. It never crossed my mind to hit back. She didn’t understand what she was doing. She was just a big girl who was very frustrated.
Have you noticed that as penalties for criminal acts decrease .. criminal acts increase!?
Well, IMO it’s no use being afraid. In Jan. 2013 a normal American patriotic capitalist will again be in the White House, and Obamacare will be eliminated;)
How horrible. The poor child is obviously terrified and pleading with them to stop.
They should be up on felony charges, and the school district deserves to lose big bucks for not having supervised them better.
The aide carried that flyswatter because she probably thought it wouldn’t leave marks, so you know she had been prepared to beat kids and had obviously done it before. And seeing those two fat cows beating and kicking that skinny little boy was nauseating.
Agreed!!!!
Oh, where to start? This is a perfect example of how the expansive state hurts us.
First, the fact that we have "special education bus aides" shows just how bureaucratic and overloaded with useless employees our schools have become.
Second, the fact that the "special education bus aide"--the person presumably hired and trained to deal with autistic kids on buses!--did this shows how these titles mean nothing and that no thought goes into hiring people for these positions.
The school would like you to believe that the fact that they have "special education bus aides" helps special needs kids and thus, the expense is worth it. This horrible example shows just how wrong that argument is.
Oh, and just how useful are those fingerprint background checks, huh?
Yep, this video could be called "Your Tax Dollars at Work".
Was part of their teaching to use FLYSWATTERS on special needs kids??????
Did the school supply the flyswatters or did they have to buy them themselves? Maybe they should have been issued TAZERS instead. (sarc)
First off, after restraining him, there was no need to do anything else. He could not harm himself or others in the harness. The aide was actually acting in a manner that was egging him on. She should not have even sat next to him.
While some of the boy's moves were defensive, others appeared to be aggressive(might have been a response to something the aide said?), but still no excuse for the adult’s behavior. Tantrums can be expected from any child (adults too unfortunately)especially those with certain disabilities, but it is never ok to strike them about the head and body with anything.
Ignorance, stupidity, and meanness all on display in this video by the very adults assigned to protect and help him.
If you don't hate liberal elites, you're not paying attention to the incentives they're setting up...
It goes without saying that it will not be delivered in an efficient, timely or cost effective way.
I was raised a certain way. I’ve never hit a woman in my life. I’m proud of that. If that was my kid, everything goes out the window, and those two pieces of trash would know what being restrained, then beaten, feels like.
I think these two pigs should spend at least 2-3 years in jail for abusing a helpless disabled boy, BUT...
$20 million lawsuit? C’mon. That only hurts the taxpayers. The women were the ones ultimately in the wrong. $20 million is excessive.
It'll be thuggy.
Elite dems will create a system where their friends and families get in sooner and get better care. They'll gussie it up so it mildly looks like they're being fair. And trust me, they'll believe any excuse for unfairness they come up with no matter how lame - when it applies to what they're doing. Just like they do now. And the MSM press will buy it even if a 5 year old could see the lie.
If that doesn't work they'll hire a bunch of trolls to gang up on citizens complaining - you know, like the stuff they do now...
Look how 'healtcare' 's done in Cuba, China, Russia and how it was done in East Germany...
Thuggy. Care controlled by committees - committees that over time favor their friends - political friends - and maybe take some kickbacks - power corrupts - power corrupts the Chicago way... absolutely.
You have no idea the low life losers who are hired as ‘care staff’ and the kinds of things management indulges them in.
Whether residents get proper or even humane treatment is incidental. Management ALWAYS defended the ‘staff’ in no matter what sort of infraction they practiced... and actual WORK was something the ‘staff’ was adept at avoiding.
It was shameful. I expect as much and worse once these 'staff' are government workers. As it is, you know the treatment you get from civil servants right now.
If I was that kid’s father they would be praying for the longest sentence that they could get. Once I got my hands on that pair prison would seem like the daisy-filled salad days of their lives.
As bad as it is now, when the government takes over families won’t be able to ‘vote with their feet’ by moving love ones to a different home... And the ‘lowlifes’ will be union members who no one will be able to get rid of...
