Sarah Palin Will Not Run for President
ABC News ^ | October 5, 2011 | Polson Kanneth

Sarah Palin will not run for president. She made the announcement in a letter to supporters Wednesday night.

Read Palin’s letter here:

October 5, 2011 Wasilla, Alaska After much prayer and serious consideration, I have decided that I will not be seeking the 2012 GOP nomination for President of the United States. As always, my family comes first and obviously Todd and I put great consideration into family life before making this decision. When we serve, we devote ourselves to God, family and country. My decision maintains this order.

My decision is based upon a review of what common sense Conservatives and Independents have accomplished, especially over the last year. I believe that at this time I can be more effective in a decisive role to help elect other true public servants to office – from the nation’s governors to Congressional seats and the Presidency. We need to continue to actively and aggressively help those who will stop the “fundamental transformation” of our nation and instead seek the restoration of our greatness, our goodness and our constitutional republic based on the rule of law....

Please don’t start this all over with a VP watch. Let her do her thing. Sheesh.

Never gonna happen. The only way Perry gets Palin’s endorsement is if he gets the nod.

Can we just focus on getting maobama out of office as one unified force for once?

Thank you.

I believe that she feels an obligation to serve this country she loves. I think she didn't want to run, but was waiting to see if a Conservative would rise to the front. I think she is content to support and potentially serve with (think Cheney here) that person, but would have only joined the race if one did not emerge.

Maybe she, like many of us, believes that a RINO running is a lose-lose for the country. If one runs and wins, they are only a liberal-lite and simply slow the destruction. If one runs and loses, four more years of Obama.

So we get another Bush1 or Bush2 or Bod Dole or Clinton or a McCain again? Sorry I am giving up on national elections the game is rigged. The same team has 2 sides, there is very little real differences between Ds and Rs. I think we need something a little more then just changing the uniforms on our reps in DC.

Romney I see a few people hating on you for saying it, but I agree.

He's going to win now. He will win all the states he won last time and most of the ones McCain won. Perry and Cain will fight it out in the South, but Perry will win most of them.

Maybe time to rally around Santorum? LOL.

Mitt, amazingly, has played the game to win and he's played it very well. He may be a RINO, flip-flopper, and hated at FR, but he's likely to be the nominee.

I am more disapointed in Bachmann's flame out than I am in Sarah not running. I expected that but hoped to be pleasantly surprised. Sadly, I was not.

Just because you were passionate in your support and belief in her is no reason to feel like a fool. Take heart in the fact that you can be passionate about things concerning our Republic. Most Americans could care less.

When it gets down to the choice between two candidates, I vote for the one who I figure will do me the least harm. That’s Anybody But Obama.

Too much to overcome

Bad enough the left wing MSM etc etc go after her and her family but she received NO SUPPORT whatsoever from the GOP to counter the attacks

The GOP establishment recent her no end for what she did in Alaska in winning the Governorship and in her campaign help in the senate GOP primary against the incumbent

Horrific news for our country.

Sarah was our only hope to save the nation, the world, the Constitution and the American family.

Ah..What about JESUS CHRIST?

I am not the least bit suprised. She knows she would have been savaged and would not have got the nomination. It isnt looking good for the GOP....another compromise candidate will be put forth...

This too will pass! I am terribly disappointed, perhaps in myself more than anything.

I still think Sarah Palin is the strongest Constitutional Conservative we have, and if she continues to voice those sentiments, I will follow her. It would be a tremendous sacrifice for Sarah, Todd and the entire family, and we know that. Let’s face it...they did a pretty good number on all of them the first time around. Why would she put her young family through that again?

EAGLES UP SARAH!

I am not disappointed in Sarah, as much as I am in the entire political game. This is about whether or not we are going to survive as a country. O must be voted out of office, and I will help where I can.

Well, now what? She was the only true conservative "potential candidate" that we had left. Now we have to choose between Romney and Perry.

Unless a true conservative comes along, I'm sitting this one out. I can't choose between an occultist, a Dominionist and the present occupant of the White House.

Good grief... why did did she act like a candidate? Why the bus tours the movie and etc... I might change my mind but right now I feel like I've been had! No one running touches any degree of enthusiasm. Cain? C’mon, Herman we hardly know you. Right wing sound bites do not make the man. Hopefully he can convince me.

Sarah is now more dangerous to the left...

I actually agree with that statement. Sarah is now harder to get in the media crosshairs. There are more powerful people than Obama right now, namely Axelrod, Jarrett, Soros... they call the shots, but remain behind the scenes relatively unnoticed. Obama is just their talking head and golfs when he's not needed. Sarah Palin is poised to become the most influential non-elected power broker for conservative politics out there, if she isn't already.
