All candidates have their bad supporters. The behavior by more than just a few Palin supporters was well beyond the "standard" FR aggressive discourse. Well beyond.

She bought a house near McCain’s and another FReeper buddy of ours.
There were rumors some time ago she might run for Kyl’s seat.
She still lives in Alaska for the most part, I think.

"she should have tried atleast.. to win the Presidency." The conservative base would have been split between her and Cain, thereby handing the nomination to Romney.
She said all along that she would NOT run if a genuinely conservative candidate was running that could win. The Cain surge has provided her her answer.

I seriously doubt that someone can carpetbag their way into office in Arizona the way Hillary did in New York.

I personally would have loved President Palin but I, uniquely, know what it's like to experience vicious personal trashing - for me it was on a smaller scale but it was similar. The toll it took on my husband and our family cannot be overstated.
Sarah did us a favor - she faced reality. I would have supported her for POTUS and I support her decision not to run. I will support her future endeavors. At the moment I'm supporting Herman Cain....so far so good with him.

Well, whatever Sarah Palin decides to do, we can be sure that her legions of supporters will certainly rally behind her.

I voted for Perot the first time- my mistake.
The Repubs and the Dems are leading us down the same path at different rates.
We need a breakthrough candidate- we almost had one.

There was nothing to infer. Your “implication” was a non sequitur.
Thus, I gave you the benefit of the doubt that you were using Carroll’s application of When I use a word, Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, it means just what I choose it to meanneither more nor less. “
Enjoy your new word and its meaning and feel free to share it when and if the spirit moves you.

I have read a lot of the thread and saw some crudeness and ugliness on both sides. I am sure the DU’ers have a field day when conservatives lay aside their values and attack each other.
I trust we’ll help each other find the candidate that can get us out from under the yoke of bondage we find ourselves in at the present.
I will do my best not to attack others. I hope other FReepers will do the same. It’s a huge turn-off besides being unhelpful.

Sarah Palin just said that there is no one perfect candidate. We should watch the debates. Tod is setting up meetings with presidential candidates.

Cain isn’t going after Romney because he knows Romney will need a conservative running mate. Same reason Bachmann was all kissyface with Mitt in the debates.
Romney will pick a conservative. And you will vote for him!

Nasty, little self-righteous poster aren’t you?
You obviously don’t see anything in your post that would indicate an intention opposite to that which you actually or ostensibly stated.
Have fun learning a new word.

This country is through. Its all over. //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Actually I have come to accept that and that is why I am not turning red and puffing smoke and fire over this upcoming election. I really believe we have passed the point of no return. I became totally convinced of that when Obama was elected (or got in by fraud or whatever actually happened in Nov. 2008. We may have the ability to survive one term of Obama but we CANNOT survive the stupidity that has festered for decades and allowed him to become president. Idiocracy is a documentary.
SECOND THAT. I want to modify what you stated......I became totally convinced of that when Obama was elected (or got in by fraud or whatever actually happened in Nov. 2008, AND THE COURTS, THE CONGRESS, AND THE MILITARY TOOK NO ACTION TO FORCE HIM TO PROVE HIS ELEGIBILITY AND/OR REMOVE HIM.
