Roger Ailes tells the AP that there was nothing political in his decision to hire Sarah Palin as a Fox News contributor.
I hired Sarah Palin because she was hot and got ratings, he told Frazier Moore, APs television writer, in a long and wide-ranging interview.

Roger, there are some things just left better not said.
It’s obvious that by “hot” he meant she was a controversial and interesting figure that is widely discussed, but the media is twisting his comment to mean she was wildly attractive.
Can’t expect the media to be honest where Palin and Fox are concerned.
Exactly right.
The left is jumping on this with glee.
Wolf Blitzer, objective? Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!
Roger Ailes is not unlike many in his generation, perfectly willing to marginalize women... unless he can make a buck. Mysogynist puke, not unlike my tagline buddy below.
It’s time for Sarah Palin to sever ties with that organization! They are becoming a cancer like the rest of them.
Spoken like a true businessman. I’m sure the liberal pussy pants thought it was to further an agenda etc.
!!!!! SARAH NOT RUNNING !!!!!
MARK LEVIN JUST READING A MESSAGE FROM HER.
There are a disproportionate number of blondes on Fox, I’m not surprised at the remark.
Roger may well have meant the “other” kind of hot, you know. :)
How many viewers want to watch bone ugly women no matter how smart or profound they are...
TV is supposed to be candy for the eye
...
Uh, she’s easy on the eyes. We guys *aren’t* supposed to notice? I mean really.
She’s HOT.
No shit? Wow!
Gee I’m surprised noone noticed that most of the women on FNC are “hot” blonds. Well not real blonds. Not that I’m complaining.
Where does it say what Ailes meant by “hot”?
She has just told Mark Levin that she will not run for president, but will support the nominee. I wish she would come right out and endorse Herman Cain. She has said that she likes him. An endorsement would be fantastic!
“There are a disproportionate number of blondes on Fox, Im not surprised at the remark.”
Really? How many women are on Fox and how many of the women are blonde? I can only think of a handful (pardon the expression) of blondes vs. other hair/skin colors.
I hope she does, too. So far, I like Herman Cain best of all. He is honest and not one of the typical egomaniac males who spend all debate trying to show where somebody changed their mind or something. Which is really stupid, because unless you are PERFECT, you are always going to have to change your mind about something. Which is why a woman would make a good president.
