If a cop and a promising student were gunned down and the shooter was caught, only to be freed after four years, the outrage would be palpable. Politicos would fall all over themselves to register their indignation and the press would be on it for weeks.
It happened in the case of New York State Trooper John McKenna and Pace University law student Michael Glover, who were serving in Iraq with the Marine Corps Reserve. Yet this story is virtually unknown, even though the injustice is enormous and systemic.
Five years ago, Lance Cpl. Glover, having put a scholarship on hold to volunteer for combat duty in Iraq, was the pointman on a patrol outside of Fallujah when he was killed by a sniper's bullet. Capt. McKenna, Glover's platoon commander, earned a posthumous Silver Star for giving his life in an attempt to save Glover.
Months later, U.S. troops captured their killer, Muhammad Awwad Ahmad. Recently, the families of the fallen learned from the Defense Department U.S. forces turned Ahmad over to Iraqi authorities in June 2010, and that an Iraqi court set him free four months later.

This Administration's Rules Of Engagement and Catch and Release policies are nothing but panderings to Islamic terrorists at the grave expense of our brave men and women in uniform. Obama’s Administration's dangerous policies have been nothing but political convenience as he panders to his Code Pink / Military Hater “Progressive” base.

Ask them WHEN they are going to demand that the House Armed Services Committee Chairman is going to call for Congressional Hearings on this Administration's Catch and Release Policy, Rules of Engagement, and WHEN we are going to release our Military members from Leavenworth!

Our Representatives in Congress NEED to hear from us ASAP and we must DEMAND Congressional Hearings on the Catch And Release policy! And leaving 3000 of our troops in Iraq without the back up defense means this so called Commander In Chief is leaving our troops like sitting ducks!

In July, the administration tried quietly to transfer Ali Mousa Daqduq, a Lebanese Hezbollah commander working at the behest of the Iranians, over to Iraqi authorities. Among other acts of terror, Daqduq masterminded the killing of five American soldiers. A group of U.S. senators wrote the Pentagon to prevent Daqduq’s transfer because it was almost certain he'd be released or allowed to escape. The administration has yet to turn him over, but remains committed to doing so by year's end.
Most media reports about Daqduq and other dangerous detainees being transferred to Iraqi authorities give the impression that this is an aberration, and that the Obama administration's hands are tied by the agreement signed by the previous administration. Nonsense. The Obama administration can still detain terrorist outside Iraq, rather than hand them over to the Iraqis so they can be turned loose to kill again.

When I called the office of Rep. McKeon, Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, it was suggested I call my Representative to Congress. I have done exactly that. Here is a little link to help those of you who want to help our brave Military men and women. Just pull up your state, find your Representative to Congress, make a phone call, send an email, and tell them you stand with our Military and demand Congressional Hearings on Obama’s Catch and Release Policy NOW!

We have a weak leader when it comes to fighting the enemy, because our enemies are not Obama’s. I’m beginning to think the only reason he killed bin Laden and Al Awlaki, aside for the votes, is that it is easier for him to kill a few, than actually go to combat against the hordes of Al Qaida.
Obama is, quite simply, not on our side.

Then its time they do. Maybe the tea party should take up another cause or two. I think this warrants a nation wide protest. I see all of this insanity going on around us and I think we should hold rallies for issues instead of candidates and it shouldn’t stop at health care and taxes.
I agree totally. From the very beginning Obama made it clear whom he would stand with if the “winds blew in a wrong direction”.

I couldn't agree with you more! So many Tea Party Leaders want to organize rallies about just the economy, and I believe many have no idea about these Military issues and National Security issues that need great attention! So many do not realize that attacks on our New York City and Washington, DC are attacks that immediately cause terrible economic problems! Without National Security we will have no economy!
