Wall Street has long been the home of the biggest threat to American Democracy [from the viewpoint of communists of course -ETL]. Now it has become home to what may be our best hope for rescuing it.
[snip]
We call ourselves the American Dream Movement [they should call themselves 'The American Nightmare Movement' -ETL]. We engaged 130,000 people to crowd-source our own jobs agenda the Contract for the American Dream. In August, tens of thousands demonstrated for jobs in rallies across the nation. Next week in DC, we host our first national gathering: the Take Back The American Dream conference.
The Occupation of Wall Street and the occupations throughout the country are expressions of the same spirit and dynamic. And these particular demonstrations, perhaps uniquely, contain the spark to grow into a movement that can be transformative ["transformative"?, sound familiar: "We are 5 days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America" --B.H.Obama, 2008 -ETL]. They are the first, small step in the creation of a movement that can restore American Democracy, and renew the American Dream [ie, communism here in America -ETL].
The hundreds of young people from all five boroughs that camp out every night, in the heart of the financial district, in the rain and the cold, at risk of arrest, are providing the inspiration to draw more and more out of the shadows and into the bright light of the public square. The occupation grows larger and more diverse every day. Young people, the majority of whom are under 25 and have never before engaged in activism, are managing the arduous task of a consensus rules meeting with no sound system. The nightly general assemblies are attracting crowds in the thousands to stand amongst a group of their peers and debate our path forward as a people.
The occupation is a revival of a proud tradition of authentic, people-powered movements that have been dormant [ie, the 60s-era communist movement -ETL] and that we need now more than ever. It is building into the kind of massive public demonstrations like those in Egypt, Madison, and Santiago that can shake the foundation of a system of power that has lost sight of the public good [ie, Capitalism bad, Communism good -ETL].
Now is our time to choose. Will we keep rewarding those whose financial manipulations have brought us to ruin? Or will we stand with those whose democratic innovations are breathing life into our finest ideals? [ie, Capitalism or Communism -ETL] Both groups are within blocks of each other in downtown Manhattan.
For the past 30 years, the country has stood behind the titans on Wall Street and their values. We listened when they said that their banks were too big too fail. Today, there is only one thing thats too big to fail: the dreams of this new generation, finding its voice in Liberty Park. All of America should now stand with them [all of America should help bring down the Capitalist System???, the best, most prosperous economic system the world has ever known! -ETL].
Nobody Can Predict The Moment Of Revolution ( Occupy Wall Street )
I'm not underestimating anything. The movement today is definitely linked to the earlier ones started by Obama pal Bill Ayers and his ilk.
From Investor's Business Daily (IBD), August 27, 2008:
"Ayers, now a tenured distinguished professor of education at UIC, works to educate teachers in socialist revolutionary ideology, urging that it be passed on to impressionable students.
One of Ayer's descriptions for a course called 'Improving Learning Environments' says prospective K-12 teachers need to 'be aware of the social and moral universe we inhabit and ... be a teacher capable of hope and struggle, outrage and action, teaching for social justice and liberation.
The Annenberg papers are quite extensive 132 boxes containing 947 file folders with 70 linear feet of material. They undoubtedly contain more surprises regarding Obama's relationship with Ayers, one of many relationships Obama has sought to hide.'..."

They're largely young, naive kids being manipulated by hardcore communists. Those SOBs have absolutely no conscious. They'll stoop to any level to achieve their goals.
That movement was about Nam. I marched in the hardhat parade in NYC in May 70. More than 500K marched in support of Nixon. The left NEVER succeeded in attracting American workers. They’ve got the leaders now and the rest could join in. The idea of economic fairness is not usually a popular cause, but as people come to believe that the wealthy have caused this recession and still profited from it, anger could rise. Many ordinary folks are like my late dad. A hardhat who poured concrete for roads and foundations. He voted for Nixon in 68, Ike, Ford. But the fact that his 15K a year was taxed ar a higher rate tha 15K in capital gains angered him. He felt it dishonored his labor. He had no gripe with the rich, he didnt want equal outcome, but equal treatment at the hand of govt. People like him could find movements like today’s attractive.
The 60s-era, so-called "peace" movement was PRO Communist. It was organized and led by Communists. Many people ("useful idiots") joined in without having a clue what it was really about. I suspect many still don't have a clue. Same goes for the "anti-war" movement ever since, and, actually, well before that.
Above: Soviet Foreign Minister Molotov signs the Nazi-Soviet Non-aggression Pact while German Foreign Minister Von Ribbentrop and Soviet leader Stalin look on under a portrait of Lenin, August 23, 1939. News of the Pact stunned the world and paved the way for the beginning of World War Two with Hitler assured the Germans would not have to fight a war on two fronts.

June, 1970 -- Kerry joins Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), a national veterans group that is part of the Peoples Coalition for Peace and Justice. The PCPJ is a broad coalition of local and national organizations, including the Communist Party, USA, "committed to conducting demonstrations aimed at ending the war in Indochina, and poverty, racism and injustice at home." The VVAW, CCI and PCPJ all have headquarters at 156 Fifth Avenue in New York City. VVAW Executive Secretary Al Hubbard, a former Black Panther, is also on the coordinating committee of the PCPJ. Hubbard soon appoints Kerry to the VVAW's Executive Committee, bypassing the normal election process.

Fact: The Black Panthers were revolutionary communists...
From the Maoist Internationist Movement:
[1960s/original] Black Panther Party [BPP] Archives
From the article: REVOLUTIONARY HEROS
"On May 1st, May Day [1969], the day of the gigantic Free Huey rally, two of Alioto's top executioners vamped on the brothers from the Brown Community who were attending to their own affairs. These brothers, who are endowed with the revolutionary spirit of the Black Panther Party defended themselves from the racist pig gestapo [i.e., the police].
Pig Joseph Brodnik received his just reward with a big hole in the chest. Pig Paul McGoran got his in the mouth which was not quite enough to off him.
The revolutionary brothers escaped the huge swarm of pigs with dogs, mace, tanks and helicopters, proving once again that "the spirit of the people is greater than the man's technology."
To these brothers the revolutionary people of racist America want to say, by your revolutionary deed you are heroes, and that you are always welcome to our camp."

This is a very clever strategery.
Since Obama can’t win with his negatives at the CURRENT JUNCTURE, the best they can do is to create a meme of the evil overlords of Wall Street and the GOP having created this mess.
It divorces Obama from his BIG donors in 2005-2010 and paints him as the champion of the middle class, the same middle class he’s destroying.
One can’t fight this by screaming, “COMMIE!”
You need to really think outside the box on this. Unless the right can counter what inevitably is going to be tarred onto the republican presidential campaign’s back, you are going to have trouble.
The left plans on building this movement over the next months.
The right needs to make Obama OWN his own personal money men and paint him and the dems are perfidious hypocrites and believe me, that is not going to be easy since the media protects them tooth and nail.
But, there are ways.
But isn’t Wall Street secretly behind Communism (according to the JBS and like-minded groups)?
Including getting the info out on forums like this where it can be easily linked, and, hopefully, read and passed on by some of the more influential Right-wing media types like Rush, Hannity, Levin, etc. Not that they don't mention some of these things, but there are loads of important details that they always seem to miss or leave out.
Same thing happened after the crash of 1929, the reds came back strong, survived McCarthy and gave us the 1960’s. The answer is to NOT CRASH THE MARKET!!.
If conservatives somehow feel that stock market crashes occur in the normal course of events, and that their cure is to be taken out of the incomes of the working class via austerity measures, then guess what- mass protests and possibly a general strike. Sure the commies are the vanguard element, but there are a lot of people hurting out there that will join them. That’s a no brainer.
Of course, if we had called for swift justice for the boardrooms of Goldman Sachs, Bear Stearns, the bond rating agencies, etc. for their ethics vacuum and endless quest for the fast buck, we might have taken the initiative here. Who were the idiots that repealed the the Glass Steagall act and allowed merchant banks to gamble depositors money on high risk “derivative instruments”? Why are we in bed with those boardrooms when they crash our economy in a time of war. They should be hanging from lampposts.
Dust off your aging John Birch Society pamphlets and find out who these banker peckerwoods really are.

After the election....
A Landslide Mandate For Change
A breakthrough election
Congratulations on an extraordinary history making election!
We can think back with pride to decades of hard work toward our strategic goal of a big enough, broad enough and united enough labor and all-peoples movement that could overcome the ultra-right blockage to all progress. That all peoples movement has come to life, it is dynamic and it has the potential to keep growing.
The election of Barack Obama and a strengthened Congress creates new conditions in our country. There is now the possibility to shift gears and move forward. This new day requires us to further develop our tactics in order to continue to deepen and broaden labor and peoples unity.
There are thousands of experiences that we all have had in these momentous days, some large, some small, all of which express the enormity of change in thinking and readiness for involvement that is underway and that steels us for the battles ahead.
The tears of joy we all shared as crowds gathered to watch the election results here and throughout the world dramatize the new moment we are in.

July 1, 2009...
Change is Here, Change is Coming
Sam Webb, National Chair, Communist Party, USA:
Let me begin with a simple observation: If the last 30 years were an era of reaction, then the coming decade could turn into an era of reform, even radical reform. Six months into the Obama presidency, I would say without hesitation that the landscape, atmosphere, conversation, and agenda have strikingly changed compared to the previous eight years.
In this legislative session, we can envision winning a Medicare-like public option and then going further in the years ahead.
We can visualize passing tough regulatory reforms on the financial industry, which brought the economy to ruin.
We can imagine the troops coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan while U.S. representatives participate in a regional process that brings peace and stability to the entire region.
In the current political climate, the expansion of union rights becomes a real possibility.
Much the same can be said about winning a second stimulus bill, and we sure need one, given the still-rising rate, and likely long term persistence, of unemployment.
Isnt it possible in the Obama era to create millions of green jobs in manufacturing and other sectors of the economy in tandem with an attack on global warming?
Cant we envision taking new strides in the long journey for racial and gender equality in this new era, marked at its beginning by the election of the first African American to the presidency?
And isnt the overhaul of the criminal justice and prison system a system steeped in racism no longer pie-in-the sky, but something that can be done in the foreseeable future?
All these things are within reach now!
http://cpusa.org/change-is-here-change-is-coming/

Creepy really. This isn’t about rich vs poor but about ‘easy vs hard’. The ‘progressives’ don’t get it because they’re on the wrong side.
http://fofoa.blogspot.com/2010/07/debtors-and-savers.html
‘As I said, Marx got one thing right. History does bear out the dramatic story of centuries of class struggle. But if we eliminate his one small flawed premise, we can see it all much more clearly.
The two classes are not the Labour and the Capital, the rich and the poor, the proletariat and the bourgeoisie, or the workers and the elite. The two classes are the Debtors and the Savers. “The easy money camp” and “the hard money camp”. History reveals the story of these two groups, over and over and over again. Always one is in power, and always the other one desires the power.
1. Debtors - “The easy money camp” likes to spend (and redistribute) money it did not earn, either by borrowing it, taxing the savers for it, or printing it. They like easy money because it is always and everywhere constantly inflating, easing the repayment of their debts.
2. Savers - “The hard money camp” likes to live within their means and save any excess for the future. They prefer hard money (or in some cases “harder” money) because it protects their savings and forces the debtors to work off their debts.’
But these bastards want to take down Capitalism itself. Not just rid the system of a few corrupt SOBs.
