WASHINGTON - Late Friday, the White House turned over new documents in the Congressional investigation into the ATF "Fast and Furious" gunwalking scandal.
The documents show extensive communications between then-ATF Special Agent in Charge of the Phoenix office Bill Newell - who led Fast and Furious - and then-White House National Security Staffer Kevin O'Reilly. Emails indicate the two also spoke on the phone. Such detailed, direct communications between a local ATF manager in Phoenix and a White House national security staffer has raised interest among Congressional investigators looking into Fast and Furious. Newell has said he and O'Reilly are long time friends.
ATF agents say that in Fast and Furious, their agency allowed thousands of assault rifles and other weapons to be sold to suspected traffickers for Mexican drug cartels. At least two of the guns turned up at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry last December.

in addition to all the specific transgressions being revealed, a huge question to be pursued is this:
WTH is ANY staffer from the White House doing in such extensive direct communication with field agencies like this? It is a circumvention of the normal administrative procedures, which indicates that the WH did not trust the higher ups in the agency to do their bidding.... but normal procedures would never involve a WH staffer on the NSC running a field operation in this way.... especially not after, dare I say it, “Iran-Contra”
It was supposed to be a well established principle that the NSC would not be running field operations itself.
What we need to capitalize on is the fact the the DBM has been complicit in not reporting the killing our men with our guns given to drug terrorists by this administration.
Its never a matter of telling the truth but of covering it up and quickly.
One administration source says White House national security staffers were “briefed on the toplines of ongoing federal efforts, but nobody in White House knew about the investigative tactics being used in the operation, let alone any decision to let guns walk.”
Meaning what? We knew they were doing it just not how many guns?

It’s not off topic at all. This administration is so pernicious you expect evil and it’s always there. Wheels within wheels.
Considering what they have fomented in the ME, it is my opinion that they have one the very same in points south of us. They have armed marxist rebels which include hezbullah and hamas in Mexico, Guatemala, and Honduras, and are interfering in Honduran’s governance, which it does not bode well.
This opinion has been attacked by others who have been posting on these threads, but I maintain, as you do, that there is ALWAYS an ulterior motive for these people.
While there is no doubt in my mind that they would use this to restrict our own gun rights, there is far more to this entire thing than meets the eye.
They are responsible for murder and mayhem and I don’t believe they would risk something that has such enormous repercussions simply to amend our gun laws when they could do that at their whim. It’s too big and goes too far from too many places and involves the most radical left wing contingent we have ever seen in power in this country.

Why is our community “organizer” so disorganized all of a sudden when we think that they all went in and set it all up, from Bloomberg to Zero, so as to blame owners?
They should reterm this as Community conspirers, because that is what they are when they use words like these in their favor. You know, benefit instead of profits, or Social Security instead of ponzi scheme for government worker security, or, indeed, “organizing” in lieu of conspiring.

I think you may be right about that... Quite literally you have to go through each individual department and look at the laws governing each one. It can be done, but what a headache. There is a reason there are Gov. think tanks who do this sort of study. Its time and brainpower intensive.
CIA is an agency which has its budget classified. It gets its funding from a variety of sources, the paths of which are also classified. They MUST report to congress about all of it however.

We KNOW Obama is much dumber than this. That is true, but they are a minority, by the way. She would get the independents when/if the GOP nominates a loser, which may very well happen.
