BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) The Obama administration is taking steps to extend new federal protections to a list of imperiled animals and plants that reads like a manifest for Noah's Ark from the melodic golden-winged warbler and slow-moving gopher tortoise, to the slimy American eel and tiny.. rat.
...With a Friday deadline to act on more than 700 pending cases, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service already has issued decisions advancing more than 500 species toward potential new protections under the Endangered Species Act.

We need people protection from the government and the ecoterrorism left. The Endangered Species Act needs to be repealed. Much like the actions of the EPA, these candidate and listing decisions are ultimately about power and control; not about the stated purposes. This is about more steps to subjugate and impoverish humanity.

Liberal, anti-people professors and bureaucrats have been INVENTING endangered species for at least 30 years, with the specific intent of stopping growth and industry.

...among species that advanced for further consideration are 35 snails from Nevada's Great Basin. Well, if that doesn't work, they'll find an old Indian fire-pit, call it "sacred" and start the paperwork.

another prime example of the Center for American Progress strategy to “screw the 2010 results, full speed ahead with Socialism via the Executive Branch”
