"I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won't hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that," Perdue said. "You want people who don't worry about the next election."

Sure, suspend the elections. But, why stop there? Get rid of that pesky, so-called "Bill or Rights". Suspend the presidential election while you're at it, we've got Obama the Great, can't do any better than that. In fact, just declare marshall law and suspend the whole constitution.

If they suspended elections there would be a war that would make the Civil War look tame.

When democrats throw crap like that out there, they do it in hopes the useful idiots on the street will pick it up and run with it.

She’s just admitted they know they’re going to lose the Senate come next election.

There's a double whammy in this woman's idea of canceling an election ~ as I pointed out in another thread this violates the NC Constitution, but it also violates the agreement struck between NC and the United States that resulted in readmission to the union.
Now Obama's not likely to get involved in this, but a subsequent President might, and NC might find itself negotiating ANOTHER DEAL, and this time it might not be so beneficial.
I was thinking one condition this time would be the requirement that the Democrat Party, it's symbols and publications, BE PROHIBITED ~ just like the Nazis are in Germany.

Yeah, piss on the Constitution, right, moron Demonrat governor?
To: WellyP
Ask him if he's OK with doing this after the 2012 elections.
Because the Democrats will be the minority in both Houses by then.

And Drudge is also reporting that Obama's former budget director says 'we need less democracy' to 'counter gridlock'.
Go ahead and try it kiddies.

Ms. Perdue was not kidding, only pretending so.
Democrats/Marxists just HATE free and fair elections.
Card Check, hysterical opposition to photo I.D. at voting centers, Ms. Gregiore, and Mister Franken serve as just a few, from many, many conscienceless examples of behavior in contrast to free, fair, and scrupulously monitored elections.

"You want people who don't worry about the next election." She's got a point...
Chavez never worries about the next election, neither does Castro, neither did Saddam, nor did Stalin, or Mao, or Mugabe...
That shoe certainly fits the Liberal mindset perfectly. Those are just the people they look up to and wish they could emulate.
It's a trial balloon from Axelrod and Obama, folks. They are planting the seeds. They finally found somebody in power dumb enough to mouth it in public. The next time the idea won't seem so shocking and there will be people who will approve of the idea.

No. It’s better to have them out in the open where we can keep an eye, and possibly a telescopic one, on them......

I think we're better off by suppressing the Democrats so they'll have to shave their heads and ride motorcycles without helmets.
Really!

This is a trial balloon straight from Sparky’s desk.
We need to vote straight Republican tickets to get rid of all of these goofballs.
