This race is wide open and is winnable for Bachmann or Cain.

It's wide open and winnable for about 5-6 Republican candidates, because whoever wins the primaries will have the economy as their running mate, and that is a running mate that Obama will have a hard time dealing with. That's why it's frustrating to see some Perry supporters pushing the notion that Perry is the only candidate that can defeat Obama. Obama is already on the way to defeating himself.

Perry-Attackers?

We are just telling the truth. Should we wait until the election cycle begins to have that come out?

Sure you gave us Clinton by voting for Perot

I wish people would stop beating that dead horse. Bush I lost because he was a lousy candidate who reneged on his "no new taxes" pledge. Perot took votes from both Bush and Clinton, and millions of Perot voters wouldn't have voted at all had he not entered the race. Perot tapped into an undercurrent of dissatisfaction with both major parties, and that dissatisfaction exists today but it's far stronger. That is why a non-politician like Cain has such appeal and why career politicians like Perry and Romney turn people off.

Sorry but that is the most ridiculous thing I have heard to date here!

Cain received 980 votes in a meaningless straw poll and now you are suggesting because of that when Palin gets in she will only split the Conservative vote and nominate Romney.

Well I got news for you, she is getting in, and the Straw poll means nothing, just as the Iowa poll meant nothing.

This is not a criticism of Cain in any way, he is a nice man and may even have a shot as Sarah`s running mate.

I don’t consider the oft-quoted reference, “former Godfathers Pizza CEO” derogatory in the slightest. In fact it relates a level of success and competence that we should insist of all our elected representatives. Our government could use MORE business people.

Neither to I, but it is certainly the LSM’s goal to use it as such.

I don't consider it derogatory, but I consider what the media is doing with it as derogatory, by trying to downplay his other accomplishments.

I agree with you though, we should be looking to people like Cain and try and get away from career bureaucrats.
