-- don't they realize or accept that spending bills come from the House BECAUSE the US House is body closest to the people and represents what the people want? --

What has to originate in the House are bills that are for the purpose of raising revenue - tax bills, and tax bills only.

Spending bills can originate in either chamber.

This made more sense when the federal government more or less stayed within its enumerated spending powers.

Agree. I like Palin very much and will give her serious consideration if she gets in.

Whether she can win the nomination is up in the air. She has a lot of dedicated followers, but I do not know if that will be enough.

I like Cain as well. In some ways he has a better resume than she does. They sure would be a formidable team!

is necessary because the current crop of GOP wannabes aren’t demonstrating much leadership capability.

All of the GOP canidates have much better leadership skills then 0, Pelosie and Reid combined. Gregory displays with that question a level of ignorance inexcusable is a so called " Journalists"

Agreed, which is why I wrote that. We already know the MSM won’t do it unless there is a clamoring from the public.

McCain/Palin didn’t quite make it.

Perhaps Palin/Cain or Cain/Palin will.

Herman Cain has a wonderful history, and strong conservative principles, but his pushing a total tax reform is not going to be a winner among the huge middle group of voters in our country.

It may be fabulous as a policy, but it cannot be debated during a national election campaign. It is a turn-off.

Steve Forbes also had great transformative ideas. Didn’t get him very far when he ran.

We are now seeing a huge void starting to develop in the presidential race

No we are not. I glad you love your candidate of choice and want her in the race but by disparaging all the other candidates like this you are carrying the Democrat party's propaganda line.

It is total nonsense.

It has no base what so ever in fact.

You will not generate support for you candidate by trash talking all the other ones

You are going to find that the lamestream, Democrat, Liberal. Left-Wing media will downplay the Herman Cain massive victory in the Florida straw poll big time!!! As usual, they and the political establishments of both political parties do not have a clue that a citizen/voter revolution is in strong progress. Both Perry and Romney are out!!! The Republican ticket, thanks to the Tea Party, will truly be a fully conservative choice. The Herman Cain win is a game changer!!! First it says, “Democrat Party, POTUS Obama, VP, Joe Biden, Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP take your Black racism and stick it where the sun does not shine. The Tea Party is not racist at all. You folks are!!! Second, and more important, the Cain victory sends the message to the Republican establishment types that we, the people, are damned sick and tired of politically correct types like Mitt Romney & Rick Perry!!! This race is not yet underway and much will happen and change until a Pubbie nominee is selected. However, Herman Cain has proved, he is truly a man of courage & determination for all seasons!!! God bless you sir and all your loved ones. Thank for you magnificent service to our country. And......as a side bar, watch how the mainstream media ignores and demeans the Black man that changed the political game in America!!! However, their weak banter and spin will not work at all!!! Herman Cain, this morning is “The American” ......and the American people will not forget his contribution to our country and freedom!!!

Just watched panel on FNS. They talked about the current field and the possibility of someone else getting in.

They absolutely made a point of not even mentioning the name Gov Sarah Palin....what a bunch of A HOLES they all are

Only one they mention is the fat RINO Christie. They continue to disrespect Gov Palin, who is on the verge of announcing her run.

They figure if they ignore her she will go away, I think they must really believe that

Brit Hume, on the panel, just mentioned the lack of a Senate budget bill, minutes from the end of the program.

Palin-backers! Listen to me, please!

If Sarah Palin wins the omination, she will need the support of ALL Republicans! You will not get that by trashing their candidates in the primaries!

Take a page from herman Cain, and talk up your candidate’s good points, instead of trashing others. As can be seen by the Florida Straw Poll, people respond to that.

You are turning people off by making nasty cracks, and it is not doing Palin any good.

After 3 debate appearances, each being worse than the previous, I have to agree. Perry's run is starting to resemble Thompson's lackluster run in 2008. Perry was very unprepared on too many issues, and it was obvious.

I am not sure who would be a better candidate. Either the GOP fields a candidate with a strong political history or they field an ad-man who is a sparkling speaker. I don't see any who are both.

Is debate skills preferable over policies?

The most articulate GOP candidate is the one who has the most baggage and wouldn't get as many Electoral votes as John McCain.

The GOP is facing one of the politically weakest candidates since Jimmy Carter, and their field of wannabes is falling apart. Romney has the most experience running for president, Gingrich is the best orator, but none of the current crop seems to appeal to more than a small percentage of votes.

Of course, the actual primary voting hasn't even started yet.

This could be another 1996 or 2008 -- the GOP pulling defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Sad state of affairs, that when a Black man of conservative bent wins a major straw poll by a landslide, and......changes the political game overnight, not one, not one of these Sunday morning shows moved to put him on. Well, American Black folk, you have now witnessed your allies, the liberal, Democrat media at work, keeping you folks down on the economic slavery farm!!! Hopefully, some day, you will wake up and realize liberals, Obama, the CBC and the NAACP are no friends of the American Black community!!!

It goes against their Tea Party is racist groupthink. They can dismiss us because we are racist, sexist, homophobes who are not in the thinking of the establishment.

This vote was not about his color but his ideas and articulation. It destroys their entire Salinski model. Liberals are the true racists.

And to think there was a time when I used to care what Brit and Bill said?

And to think I at one point used to say thank God for Fox News. They are now just part of the MSM, not fair and balanced. I suggest they drop all that from their advertising, they are not fair and balanced anymore, they do not....report and let us decide

Fox News is pathetic, with few exceptions. There poll has the credibility of News Week

I totally disagree. I find that Perry, Romney and Cain could all be possibilities, and Palin, too, if she gets in.

Newt carries too much baggage, but is a great idea guy. bachmann has unfortunately made too many gaffes, plus hiring Rollins indicated a serious lack of judgement or awareness of his reputation.

Quit talking our people down. They are ALL far better than any of the past democrat candidates (Gore, Kerry) and far better than Obama. It is not a weak field at all.
