Gravitas! I firmly believe that if FreeRepublic.com had not existed during the recount in 2000 Al Gore would have been declared the winner.

I remember Freepers seeing what was going on on TV and alerting the South Palm Beach Freepers to get down there and monitor things. They did and we were saved from a stolen election.

brit, when I click on the link you provided it just shows my profile page. I don't see anything with a post #18.

NoGray, I see no numbers on the bottom left side of my profile page.

Maybe it is my computer, because since the beginning of the year I haven't been able to read my FreepMails. I can see that I have mail and who they are from and topic, but when I click to read them there is nothing there. Also there are some other sites that I get their logo across the top but nothing in the body of the webpage. I wish I knew what happened.

I am getting my new computer set up on Oct 1st. Hopefully then I can access my FreepMail etc. I have had this HP with only 120 RAM for 9 yrs. and it keeps going so I had resisted buying a new one, but finally decided it was time.
