Reporting from Tampa, Fla. -- A black, threatening cloud hung low over the Orange County Convention Center on Saturday evening as top members of Gov. Rick Perrys brain trust left a place their candidate would love to forget.
At best half showed up, leaving tables groaning with uneaten bagels, scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit cocktail. At the end of the governors rather perfunctory eight-minute speech, the breakfast crowd offered a rather perfunctory round of applause, the first public clue that all might not be going well in Perryville.
The Texans campaign fielded the largest cadre of volunteers and paid staff at the event. His staffers, wires dangling from their ears (a touch, and expense, that no other campaign matched), were very much in evidence Saturday inside the convention hall, as they distributed signs and buttonholed delegates. Another visible sign of the considerable investment Perry made in Florida: signage that included a huge banner, hanging in the foyer of the convention hall, which greeted the 3,000 delegates, starting on debate night; Perrys campaign paid an undisclosed sum to the state party for the privilege.

Read it an weep. Out of Perry’s own mouth no less.
Perry is the one who called the P5 poll important, right before he got crushed by Cain in said poll.
If you read the article you will see the reason the results are important is because Perry went all out to win it.
Tons of money and paid staff, lavish buffets, videos, banners, meet and great, video bio, speech: ALL OUT!
And he was ahead in FL by 9 before the debate.
AND HE WAS CRUSHED IN THE POLL!!
Likely, hell bounce back

Ha! Yeah; right! When I become a cross-dresser.
I noticed some are very quick to announce the death of Perry campaign. It is foolish and very premature to do so and time will prove it.
I am here.
I have never told anybody to “shut up”
I told ElvisNixon.com to stick it, today but I never told him to shut up.
Sure...if you are free to make the choice to do it. But jumping through Perry sized hoops ain’t exactly “free” in the normal sense.
Guardasil was NOT pushed to combat those ‘unknown vectors” it was pushed on STD issues and getting them the old fashioned way. BTW, I’m not anti vaccine. I’m anti-vaccine the way this particular method played out at the expense of parental rights.
I’m hoping Marco Rubio is in the #2 Spot. (Top Spot: Herman Cain.) We need Rubio on the Ticket. We need the Hispanic vote and we need FL. Whoever carries FL will occupy the White House from Jan. 2013- Jan. 2017.
Too much information, thanks.
:)
Do you even care how foolish you look? Seriously. Do you?
I am a big Perry supporter and I am laughing at the foolishness of those who are announcing the death of the Perry campaign.
No, you never did, and always discussed the issues in good faith, but I remember seeing it and believe you may have as well.
He;ll stick around a while more. But he will never get the nod. Call it what you will.
Thanks.
I appreciate the honesty.
Your interests are a totally different issue ~ but HPV is not strictly an STD ~
Its great to be in the state that picks presidents. Thats what Florida does.
Ouch.
Crushed?
He came in 2nd.
There are good and bad in very candidate. Focusing only on the bad is a mistake. But that seems to be what the media, Dems...and we do.
As tedious as it is..I try to watch interviews, speeches and research history. None of the candidates are squeaky clean...nor are they the devil. I use this time to try to evaluate who might be best, without honing in on one single issue.
Any one of them could implode..so I don't think I'll make a decision just yet.
Why and how was Guard pushed? Who did that?
Simple.
“I’m still struggling to explain the scarcity of hardcore Perry supporters that told the rest of us to ‘shut up’ and get on board with their candidate or we were guaranteed 4 more of Obama or even Romney.
Anyone seen one?”
Here is one.
And if Perry isn’t the GOP nominee, Obama WILL be re-elected. It is just going to be a very sad “I told you so”.
