ORLANDO Former Godfather Pizza CEO Herman Cain won the Presidency 5 straw poll here Saturday, delivering a blow to Texas Gov. Rick Perrys frontrunner status and a victory for a candidate who has struggled to transform his grassroots popularity into strong showings in national polls.
Tonights winner is Herman Cain, Florida Gov. Rick Scott announced. It shows you something, the road to the White House come through Florida, and it pays to spend time here.
He received 37 percent of the more than 2,600 votes cast.
Thank you to the Republican voters for this incredible honor of being named the winner of the Presidency 5 straw poll in Florida today, Mr. Cain said. This is a sign of our growing momentum and my candidacy that cannot be ignored. I will continue to share my message of common-sense solutions across this country and look forward to spending more time in Florida, a critical state for both the nomination and the general election.
The two national frontrunners Mr. Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney placed second and third. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, meanwhile, landed in fourth place; Rep. Ron Paul of Texas landed in fifth place; and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, sixth. Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann finished last. (See the poll results here.)

Wait till the Mittens machines starts...I certainly hope Herman Cain is prepared for these non ending attacks. I hope he has withstood these inbound attacks in the past. Cause Mittens will get really really ugly with him.
Cain is the only other one running I can happily support.

Sorry you failed to grasp the obscene insinuation I was responding to. But children are like that--you only have an attention span of a few seconds sometimes. Cheers, Junior, and please--don't bother yourself to write back.

How long until Liberals (media or otherwise) start calling him an Uncle Tom?They've been doing it for a while now. Cain is used to it.

Three years ago it was a point of faith around here that the presidency isnt an entry level position No, the President is the USA's CEO. Mr Cain has been a very successful CEO of 2 multi billion corporations. To claim Mr Cain is an "entry level candidate" akin to 0 is not in the least bit accurate nor honest.

Outstanding!! The MSM has tried killing Cain with silence, but for me, the more I learn about him the better I like him. He could be this generation’s Ronald Reagan.

Here we have a former Federal Reserve chairman who wants to add a national sales tax on top of the income tax, and thinks it can’t possibly go wrong.

Mitt wouldn't be trying to muddy the RINO Cowboy's water by conducting a little Operation Chaos action, would he?
Surely not.
Ya think?

So you would leave our current failed corrupt tax system in place because anything we replace it with might be corrupted in time.
That is a really stupid argument to be making.

Congratulations Hermain Cain. How long until Liberals (media or otherwise) start calling him an Uncle Tom? You know it will happen. I hope they do it, for it would show their racism in believing that Blacks must be Liberals. If they do pull out that attack, you can take it as an article of faith that Herman Cain IS the right man for the job.

Content of character IS what matters, and what most people can't stand about Obama is the content of his character--or rather the lack thereof--NOT the color of his skin.
Cain has character--and, refreshingly, kind of is one--and unless this nation has fallen fall lower than I think it has, it can see far beyond the color of his skin.
Many people who did not know anything about Obama, thanks to the MSM, voted for Obama because they believed his "Hope and Change" thingy and also wanted to show color did not matter. Now all they have is Hype and Chump Change, and the realization that when it comes to ideology color does matter, if it's RED!
Now---Cain might be a little "green" when it comes to political experience, but he has been a successful business man, and as far as being conservative, sure seems to me to be TRUE BLUE!
I still like Perry, but his stand on some issues really bothers me, along with his inability to articulate his position on important issues. So now--I'm really pleased to see that the "Cain Train" is picking up speed, and might just have to hop aboard!

Goes to show that RINOS everywhere are not welcome, period.
Adding a national sales tax on top of an income tax is a RINO dream come true.

i’m so happy for him - he deserves this - especially being largely ignored by the MSM.
