I don't understand why she's up there instead of Palin. Palin has a much better chance having been a former governor.
I never confirmed this but somebody in FR commented that only one conservative woman was allowed to run and because Bachmann jumped in first that kept Palin out.
There's something strange about that. Anways who would have the power to make such a decision?
I agree. 9 ET seems late. The CNN and MSNBC debates went at 8 ET.
From someone on the scene: "The debate tonight is rigged in Rick Perry's favor. According to someone I spoke with, the questions are all geared to help Rick Perry win the Florida Straw Poll. Perry was the only candidate that was allowed to put banners up at the Presidency Five. This news comes after earlier reports that Perry had pressured FOX to have them break their own rules and have Gary Johnson join. And Perry just ate dinner with Rupert Murdoch the other evening. The fix is in, folks. I don't know what we can do to stop it, but the fix is in for this guy in a huge way. From a senior source on the Paul campaign: no other campaign was allowed to put up banners the way that Perry has. Other campaigns are reporting this on the ground. Other campaigns are beginning to realize that the debate is a set-up.
Give each candidate 5 minutes to explain how they differ from all the other candidates without putting down the others.. and 5 minutes to explain how they will restore the US to greatness post Ibama. Impress me.
Your post is the biggest bunch of bunk ever told. Only one woman allowed to run? Hahahahaa!
Please stop while you are ahead.
Palin could be in this debate. All she has to do is pay the fees, file the paperwork, and she is in.
If she is not, it is because she chooses not to.
“we had the anti-immigration idiots referring to Jorge Bush and offering absolutely no suggestions of their own except machine guns at the border, even though the biggest immigration problems we have had have been LEGAL immigrants from Muslim countries who hate us and are trying to destroy us. So why didnt these people offer their own suggestions? Because they are either Dem trolls, or theyre elderly keyboard kommandos without any suggestions.”
Jorge Arbusto pushed amnesty even harder than did Juan McCain. He did a great disservice to this country. So of course he deserved to be lambasted for it.
Give credit where credit is due; by the same token, give criticism where criticism is due.
Jorge is to be applauded for backing a tax cut. He is to be criticized for being an amnesty pusher, a big government/big spender president, and plenty of other things.
We don’t need, and shouldn’t tolerate, more Bush/Dole/Bush-Bush/McCain nominees. They’re killing us. And people who back the failed policies of these CINOs (even if it is “their turn”) should be roundly called out.
"We need to get our satellites out of outer space because they are just a provocation for a Martian invasion."
Palin would not stay out because another woman is in, but people like Dick Morris, for example, who think in categories have opined that “the female candidate” is already in.
All of the pundits who have made similar comments are just showing their latent sexism when they speak. How come any number of males can stand on the stage, but only one woman???
Chauvinism!!! It is time to call them on this attitude.
There is a better than probable chance that this debate will be “Make Perry the Pinata” round II.
I agree. I've noticed the dead air pop-up in other appearances.
If Romney is the GOP nominee, then conservatives
will work AGAINST the GOP.
No conservative will EVER vote for RINO Milt, ever.
You’re welcome.
Palin has paced herself and allowed her family time to adjust to a campaigning schedule/lifestyle without having to put up with some of the excessive fringe freak Democrat supporters, can’t fault her for avoiding them, she’ll draw big crowds and have plenty of support no matter what the media says if she gets in.
Count on it.
I hope Perry and the others will talk the issues and not trash tonight. Everyone on that stage should be using this platform to shine a light on the damage Obama has done.
And what will they do to reverse the damage?
We will see how he handles it.
Are you getting thing other than a black screen at this point?
I think a lot of that will depend on how FOX moderates the debate.
