Rick Santorum
Santorum served two terms in the U.S. House and two terms in the U.S. Senate. He became the Senate's third-ranking Republican in 2001. He was defeated for reelection in 2006.
Gary Johnson
Johnson served as governor of New Mexico from 1995 to 2002. He founded what would become one of the largest construction companies in New Mexico. He has competed in several triathlons and climbed Mount Everest.
Perry has been hurt badly by his stance and statements on immigration. I think it hurt him badly in South Carolina, which is really cracking down on illegal immigration. In fact, Arizona, Colorado, Georgia and South Carolina have laws specifically prohibiting illegal immigrants from receiving in-state tuition, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures
Then we work very hard to put conservatives in Congress. Romney might not be the ultra conservative I would want but if he is the nominee, I will vote for him.
I have nightmares regarding our Supreme Court. Heaven forbid this muslim get’s to appoint another member of the court.
Not to mention he panders, aids and abets, and literally encourages illegals aliens to flood into Texas.
LOL
I didn’t forget about illegal immigration. It’s just not the top issue in most peoples’ minds, that’s all.
If they don’t get citizenship status, it’s not amnesty.
Is this to another comment ? I didn’t say anything about Ron Paul. Single-issue anti-war voters should vote Huntsman.
Since they are not eligible now, it means the supporters of that bill expect to see "comprehensive immigration reform" in which the illegals will be given legal status.
Don’t think slick used car salesman Romney is anti illegal imigration. Here is a factcheck from his record. Look at his record!!
FactCheck: MA state cops never enforced immigration laws
Romney claims in his TV ad that he put state troopers on the trail of illegals in his state. But he didnt do so until he had less than a month left in his term. He was already considering running for president, and the new governor-elect was expected to rescind the arrangement.
Romney began talking about giving troopers the power to make arrests on immigration charges earlier in 2006, but he didnt sign an agreement with the federal governmenta necessary condition for that authority to be granted until Dec. 13, 2006. Romney was scheduled to leave office Jan. 4, 2007. Democrat Deval Patrick, who had won the race to succeed Romney, had already said the program was a bad idea because troopers were busy enough as it was.
Sure enough, Patrick rescinded the agreement within his first week in office so troopers could focus on enforcing MA laws. The policy never had a chance to take effect, because those troopers chosen to carry it out hadnt yet begun a required 6-week training course

I’m with ya ! ABO, well, except maybe Ron Paul...lol
Texas’ choices with regard to tuition tell you nothing significant about Rick Perry. This just a diversion, nothing more. Keep your eye on the ball.
As will I. I will support whoever is nominated. I will NOT whine, cry and sit home which is the same as voting for the Kenyan Halfrican Marxist Muslim poser.
“WINNERS: Palin/Cain”
I agree. This debate left me hoping like hell that Palin gets in. I just don’t get Perry. He’s doing all the right things on the campaign trail and getting everyone fired up, etc., but he’s a HORRIBLE debater-at least so far. He comes across as lacking depth and not being able to defend himself and counter-punch.
I think Perry may still be the frontrunner (barely) after tonight, but he needs to seriously step up his game if he’s going to survive.
Another thing I totally don’t get is why everyone is giving Romney a free pass on Romneycare. Good God! If Perry were the guy who signed a health care plan like that, everyone on stage would have the knives out on him!
Something’s just not right here, it’s as if there’s some secret agreement with everyone except Perry not to hit Romney too hard on anything. And there’s so much more they could go after. Romneycare is just the tip of the iceberg. There’s global warming, flip-flopping on major issues like abortion, just general phoniness.
I feel like we’re being played here, and we’re being pulled toward a Romney candidacy. I think that would be a horrible mistake. And since it looks like Perry might not be able to stop him, I hope to God Palin gets in.
why? Let’s go issue by issue and record. I agree huntsman is a tool on the climate change nonsense, but on other issues he is way better than perry.
The Federal government hasn't done enough on immigration and the border control.
Texas has decided to treat them as Texans if they're getting legalized so they can work and add to the tax base instead of sucking the Texas social safety net dry.
It's a defensive policy because of federal failure. Only four members of the legislature opposed it. None opposed it when it was updated 4 years later. It tells you .
I don't support in-state tuition but I can see the position the states are put in by federal failure on the issue for decades. That failure is unAmerican, even treasonous.
:) Good job. We stand together against these liberal socialists.
I will not vote for Romney under any circumstance.
If he is the nominee, there will be a 3rd party effort.
Willard is no conservative. He is a phony and a fraud.
I dont like the pandering either, but what politician doesnt pander?
There is one but she’s not in the race...yet.
B.S. If a law is passed allowing them to stay and reside in this country permanently legally, then that is AMNESTY.
