If they don’t get citizenship status, it’s not amnesty.

B.S. If a law is passed allowing them to stay and reside in this country permanently legally, then that is AMNESTY.

am·nes·ty

[am-nuh-stee] Show IPA noun, plural -ties, verb, -tied, -ty·ing.
noun
1.
a general pardon for offenses, especially political offenses, against a government, often granted before any trial or conviction.
2.
Law . an act of forgiveness for past offenses, especially to a class of persons as a whole.
3.
a forgetting or overlooking of any past offense.
verb (used with object)
4.
to grant amnesty to; pardon.

Do you see anything in there about citizenship? Nope. If they are not fined or somehow penalized, then it IS amnesty!
