I don’t understand why the the people in Luntz’s group are willing to buy into Romney defending Romneycare with healthcare is a state issue, but do not see whether or not to give in-state tuition to illegal residents as a state issue.
I did not know that he said he would legalize them, but paying their tuition gives me a notion.
That's my ticket. I've wanted those two to team to since the last debate. I'll put Santorum in with them.
You’re wrong. Read your responses. Why did you lie?
If he doesn't have to debate any time soon he might. Perry is just awful in these debates, and this is coming from someone who generally supports him.
If Perry can't expose Romney for the flip flopping chameleon he is in these debates, how in the heck can we expect him to do well against Hussein?
Newt would make a great Secretary of State.
Perry's biggest hurdle appears to be Perry's debating skills. He's not adroit enough to finnesse or explain his stance on illegals. And you're right it will cost him.
I did like the answer of letting Pakistan deal with Pakistan.
Up to now I've been thinking he is weak on defending himself in debates, and he might win the nomination but lose the election to Obama.
Now I'm sure of it. That stammering, incoherent reply gave me a face palm.
Not to mention the issue of illegals.
He made a fool of himself up there and practically handed Romney the win on a platter. He would do the same for Obama, if he got that far.
My Son doesn’t qualify because he hasn’t been a resident for the past 3 years.
The Dream act has the same qualification and then some.
All the boy has to do is come on down here and here gets the same deal.
And the cost is on Texas.
Not the nation.
You’re right, Perry is stuck with his immigration stance. He has two choices. Either defend it, or deny it ever happened. He’s defending it. I think that’s the best he can do, but it still doesn’t make it good. He needs to get past that and talk about things I think helps him. Things like shrinking the Federal government, giving power back to the States, slashing regulations, getting government out of the way of business. I think he’s got some credibility on these points.
Perry going down the dumper big time, that may push Sarah into getting in before Mittens can get momentum.

Well, if he can’t beat Obama, then it is time. It is time for the Killa from Wasilla. It is time for the Momma Grizzly. It is time for Sarah Palin!!!
Media alwasys repeats nominees names as ROMNEY PERRY BACHMANN ... it’s subtle but effective to hypnotize. I’m not voting for Romney either.
After tonight, he’s officially considering use of teleprompter too.
*****************
nah, I don’t even think that would smooth him out too much. Perry is more of a conversationalist. He’s a people person for sure.
Perry’s people need to put him through debate camp. He gets too nervous and relies on his casual, easy goin’ ways too much. In my opinion anyhow.
Cain is able! I thought he rocked the house tonight. He was clearly the one the people liked...and he got the most applause. He will do well moving forward.
Bad choice. Bad choice.
