Breitbart is right--we DO have the guns
St. Louis Gun Rights Examiner ^ | 21 September, 2011 | Kurt Hofmann

Posted on 09/22/2011 6:44:22 AM PDT by marktwain

Conservative journalist and perennial thorn in the "progressives'" side Andrew Breitbart has become the latest "insurrectionist," according to the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence(CSGV):

"Insurrectionism Timeline" updated w/ Breitbart's fantasy about shooting war against Americans who disagree w/ him.

We've talked about their little "Insurrectionism Timeline" before. That's where they chronicle every instance they can find (well--not every instance--they try to stick only to the "insurrectionism" of the "right wing") of what they consider "insurrectionist rhetoric," starting (for some reason), with the Supreme Court's Heller decision. Yes--to CSGV, the United States Supreme Court is "insurrectionist."

Mr. Breitbart's "scary" words were spoken at a Red Mass Group greater Boston Tea Party event in Lexington, Massachusetts, on September 16 (see sidebar video). The part that has CSGV so upset is where he acknowledges occasionally indulging in idle thoughts of telling the "progressive" thugs who threaten him and his family to go ahead and try to carry out their threats:

Fire the first shot. Bring it on.

And then, he utters the even more unforgivable (in the eyes of statists) words:

We outnumber them in this country and we have the guns.

And that, of course, is what so upsets CSGV. We--the American people--do have the guns, and any plans to subvert our liberties and usurp our authority as citizens must take that into account. CSGV's beloved government monopoly on force does not exist in the U.S. (and will not, as long as there is a U.S.). That's something else we've discussed here before:

The strongest reason for their aversion to gun rights isn't "gun violence," or the supposed threat of "right wing terrorism" (although they exploit both of those to the maximum extent possible)--it's that they believe that a strong-willed, vigilant citizenry, prepared to say "No!"

Excellent work by Kurt. It clearly shows that the Progressives view the Second Amendment as a major block against the "Progressive Project".

It bears repeating, and the thieving Progressives had damned well better understand it:

We outnumber you in this country, and we have the guns.

The Progressives view of the Second Amendment is what the state sponsored gun running was all about.

Their aim was to sieze them all and burn them, like Hitler did the books.

We need to add one more caveat;

We KNOW how to use them....accurately.

I think this is also the reason that Obama and the liberals have been trying for years to “Queer up” the military. They know, that as things currently stand, the military is 70%+ conservative and the liberals would lose any armed uprising. The hope by “queering up” the military, they will both get more liberals in the armed forces, and also many conservatives will leave in disgust or never enlist at all.

My concern is that Progressives don't believe we will use them, which speaking on my own behalf would be a very great error in judgment on their part.

Perhaps the South could/should reconstitute its confederacy and re-invade the North? It has the population, the guns and the will to use them.

This coming deer season we will have millions of armed Americans afield. Because the politicians have been unable to disarm the citizenry, they fear the Armed patriot.

Guns were already banned or confiscated prior to Hitler coming to power. Hitler basically inherited gun control but continued it under his rule probably with modifications and tweaks.

Because I have a family and a more-or-less comfortable life, I hate the thought of what we might have to do in order to secure our freedom in this country, but the truth remains: it beats the alternative, which is servitude and rule by thieves.

Progressives are intentionally trying to destroy everything good and decent about America, and they've succeeded to a far greater extent than I ever thought possible. And trust me: things are about to get worse - a lot worse.

Check out this short vid. It was posted to me by a leftist during a similar conversation on a different forum. He left it to the viewer to determine who the bad guys are.

“This coming deer season we will have millions of armed Americans afield. Because the politicians have been unable to disarm the citizenry, they fear the Armed patriot.”

I have seen this written somewhere....It states all the hunters who “deployed” to the field, listed by states and shows how large an army EACH state has.

Do you know where I could find that?

From one of the more prominent gun rights activists (doing yeoman’s work alongside Codrea on the Gun Walker sedition currently - see latest at http://sipseystreetirregulars.blogspot.com/search?q=we+will+kill+you), I quote:

But Vanderboegh’s reply to the learned professor is truly one for the ages. “I used to argue history, facts and common sense with such as you, but gave it up as a bad job”, he writes of once being asked his opinions on gun control by a citizen disarmament advocate. And when asked by the fellow for a “short answer” summing up his views, Vanderboegh simply answered, “If you try to take our firearms, we will kill you.” “It boils down to that”, he continues. “If you try to take our firearms (liberty, property, insert any other God-given, inalienable right) we will kill you.”

I believe we are on the same page.....the commies are NOT going to leave quietly. We will have to convince them the hard way....I am certain of that.

This is a very insightful quote from Mr Horowitz, head of the "Coalition against Gun Violence," taken from the article:

Recognize Insurrectionism as a threat to the entire progressive movement. Too many political progressives assume that the gun rights movement can be co-opted or simply ignored. Progressives fail to understand that the Insurrectionist idea is part and parcel of a broader reactionary worldview. Unless progressives recognize that the Insurrectionist premise of the modern gun rights movement is fundamentally hostile to the progressive project and its values, the "conservative" movement will use gun rights as a building block for organizing and propagandizing

From this quote, especially the first sentence, it can be seen that the "progressives" do not believe that anyone has a right to an opinion other than their opinion ... nor do dissenters have a right to equip themselves in a way that will support the dissenting opinion.
