Ben and Jerry's name for a new ice cream flavor has at least one conservative group up in arms. OneMillionMoms, which is associated with the American Family Association objected to the name Schweddy Balls, which is a reference to a "Saturday Night Live" skit that featured Alec Baldwin as a name-challenged maker of Christmas candy.
In a statement at www.onemillionmoms.com, the group said "The vulgar new flavor has turned something as innocent as ice cream into something repulsive. Not exactly what you want a child asking for at the supermarket." The statement followed with a full description of the puns in the skit, which is available at the Ben & Jerry's website: http://www.benjerry.com/flavors/feature/schweddy/
According to the website, the flavor is: "Fair Trade vanilla ice cream with a hint of rum and is loaded with fudge covered rum and milk chocolate malt balls."
OneMillionMoms also objected to the flavor Hubby Hubby, a special edition of the flavor Chubby Hubby in honor of gay marriage.
"It seems that offending customers has become an annual tradition for Ben & Jerry's," . . .

Thanks to ignorant attitudes like yours which minimize or mock the communist threat, we now actually have a communist in the White House today. Or don't you believe Obama is a communist? And I am no fan of Mitt Romney, trust me.
I imagine healthcare would be included in the following goal:
32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture--education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.
In 2000, Jostein Solheim, a Unilever executive from Norway, became the new CEO of the company and had this to say about the transition: "My mantra that I've repeated a hundred times since starting at Ben & Jerry's is: Change is a wonderful thing,'" he said. "The world needs dramatic change to address the social and environmental challenges we are facing. Values led businesses can play a critical role in driving that positive change. We need to lead by example, and prove to the world that this is the best way to run a business. Historically, this company has been and must continue to be a pioneer to continually challenge how business can be a force for good and address inequities inherent in global business."[7]"

It seems that while Ben and Jerry have sold the company, the leftist philosophy continues.
A couple of them (13, 34) I don't really have any problem with.
Many of them are just symptoms of liberalism in general, rather than being strings pulled from a room in the basement of the Kremlin where all this was being plotted.
Liberals may want many of these same goals fulfilled, but that is more out of their odd way of seeing the world rather than to actually destroy the American culture. For example, they actually like the ugly and repulsive 'art' that the communists want to promote in their multi-dimensional effort to destroy the culture (the communists are repulsed by it as well). Same story with most of the other items on the list. Liberals are not known as their 'useful idiots' for nothing.
“The group is asking its members to write to the company and threaten to boycott the company’s ice cream.”
Never. B and J’s is my favorite ice cream. I don’t care what side of the political fence they sit on.
No one, but no one, comes between me and my favorite ice cream.
If this is so important to the whiny right, it can get off their fat butts and produce a competitive first class ice cream. Until then, quit whining.
Ref. post #6.
You are so correct!!!!
As it is said in Spanish in reference to what the AFA said:
le salió el tiro por la culata.
Translation:
The gunshot backfired out their rear ends.

Ever heard of the “Popular Front”?
“The [Communist] Popular Front sought to enlist Western artists and intellectuals, some of them not party members but fellow travelers, to use art, literature, and music to insinuate the Marxist worldview into the broader culture. The murals of Diego Rivera, the poetry of Langston Hughes, the novels of Howard Fastall exemplified this approach. Its an irony that communists should seek to change the culture, of course, since Marxism holds that culture is merely a reflection of underlying economic structures, whose transformation will bring about capitalisms inevitable collapse.
Still, the party kept sending its legions to the cultural front lines, even after the 1939 Hitler-Stalin pact abruptly ended the Popular Front coalition-building. The American Communist Partys bluntest expression of the idea of culture as a revolutionary tool came in writer V. J. Jeromes talk Let Us Grasp the Weapon of Culture, presented to its 15th national convention in New York in 1951. Cultural activity is an essential phase of the partys general ideological work, Jerome observed. Federal officials cited the speech as an overt act seeking the violent overthrow of the U.S. government, landing Jerome in prison for three years.
It took a while for the Popular Fronts strategy to get results in popular musicand Pete Seeger was the catalyst. Many critics mark Elvis Presleys arrival in the 1950s as a turning point in postwar American popular culture, not just because he injected a more overt sexual energy into entertainment, but also, they claim, because his rebellious spirit anticipated the political upheavals of the 1960s. But neither Presley nor the newfangled thing called rock n roll had any explicit politics at the time (and Elvis would one day endorse Richard Nixon). A better leading indicator of the politicization of pop was the first appearance of a Seeger composition on the hit parade. ...”

I don't dispute that at all.
But to imply that "Ben & Jerry's Schweddy Balls" are somehow the result of a Communist master plan is in my opinion a little ridiculous.
It is an incorrect assumption that a protest by parents is the advertising that will help these disrespectful communist preverts. {sic} Corporations that have embraced imposing this gross crap on Americans are going to change or pay.
Do you really believe that Ben and Jerry’s is communist?
You are joking, right?
The original owners of Ben & Jerry’s sold there company for more than a quarter of a billion dollars!
And in 1988 President Ronald Reagan awarded the owners of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream the U.S. Small Business Persons Of The Year Award.
Do you really believe that President Reagan would give such an award to Communists?
What you need to do is read about communist history. It is usually financed by the rich and sold by the intellectuals who embrace it as their religion.
They end up getting killed by it, but the insane never learn.
Please explain to me why President Reagan would have named the owners of Ben & Jerry’s U.S. Small Business Persons Of The Year.
I have no idea what they were doing when Reagan was president. I know what they are doing now, though. Do you?
You are the one who is claiming that Ronald Reagan bestowed the Small Business of the Year award on Communists.
I know that President Reagan would have never given such an award to Communists.
Therefore, Ben & Jerry cannot be Communists.
