USDA Secretary: We Must ‘Create Appropriate Transition’ for What Americans Eat
CNS News ^ | 9/20/11 | Penny Starr

U.S. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack told members of the National Restaurant Association on Monday that Americans need to “adjust” their tastes so that they like the kind of food the government believes they should eat—and “we have to make sure that what we do is create the appropriate transition.”

I hate not only beans but I was cleaning out a late relative’s house and for lunch all I could find was a can of blackeyed peas which I heated on the stove and the rest of the day and night I was going “KABLOOIE” every five minutes and my wife asked when are you coming to bed and it didn’t finally die down until well past midnight.

So I don’t eat no beans no mo’. And I’m 63 so I have to be careful of foods that backfire since Beano doesn’t work.

Yes, I read about the $16.00 MUFFINS for DOJ meetings

~So we have to be steered by restaurants (being nudged by government) to eat what the government thinks we should while they themselves (a.k.a. Washington elite) dine on $16.00 muffins?!?!

Satire you say?

Hmmm, Well I am sure the teacher in the period following the black BEAN brownie distribution could tell the difference between chocolate and BEAN...with her nose! Yikes.

Pretty much every kind of food the government has been pushing for generations has been bad for you.<<<

Before the politically correct diet dictators got involved, the majority of people were thin and trim. Go back and look at old pictures or news clips. You probably won't find a fat person in an entire crowd. Now, it's hard to find a thin person anywhere.

I think the "government" diet is part of a population control sceme. People are rotting inside.

You are both correct. It's not the healthy who demand Obamacare, but the sick. First the minds were warped - critical thinking skills destroyed - by propaganda in the media and schools. The character of the mentally compromised populace was then corrupted by the barrage of messages that vices are virtues.

Now we have the brazen and overt process of manipulating food intake. Frankenfood, processed poison stripped of nutrients, demonization of the real foods of substance (e.g. steak, eggs, butter)... it's the completion of the goal to pervert and sicken the entire body. Wasted minds, wasted bodies = government-worshiping Obamabots desperate for the solution to the government-induced problems (while the king and queen inhale their ice cream treats).

No problem.

Here is a “Cooking With Dog” (the dog is the host) video where she makes traditional fish cakes with sweet bean filling.

This is the only way my girls will eat beans.

Statement: "USDA Secretary: We Must ‘Create Appropriate Transition’ for What Americans Eat"

Response: We must learn to eat rice and fish heads.

Comment: By a rice and fish head diet American size will return to an average height of 5'4" and 120 pounds for men and 4'9" and 89 lbs for women. Those who are currently in office want to inflict maximum harm.

Odd eating schedules can wreak havoc as well. Waiting too long between meals hurts rather than helps efforts to moderate food intake. Families used to dine together, keeping most eating on a more or less fixed schedule.

Children used to be nourished by mom’s home cooking. Brown bag lunches taken to school have been relegated to the dustbin of history. Daycare, mothers working outside the home, reliance on packaged foods to throw together those rare family meals (not much time to cook after work)... it adds up.

Frozen pastries, cereal, poptarts have replaced breakfast cooked at home and made with real food.

School and daycare lunches of dubious content and quality have replaced brown bag lunches or meals made at home for young children.

Family dinners cooked at home made with real food have been replaced by take-out, fast-food, and time-saving prepared foods containing mystery ingredients.

The radical feminists and their enablers and fellow travelers have been responsible for a very deep level of damage to the culture and society and the future.

Interesting observation; I think you are correct. Also, many folks have allergies to certain foods, lactose-intollerance, need glutten free diets, etc. How can these morons think they can prescsribe what every indivdual should be eating?!?!?!

I consumed my fair share of sugared cereals, Space Food Sticks, and Pop-Tarts as an elementary schoolboy. It didn’t make me fat then. I was not all that fond of Pop-Tarts but ate them dutifully. Some would aver that this made it easier for me to get fat when I was decades older — I can’t answer that question, there is not enough data.
