Another aspect of Perry’s Rhetoric/Record gap.

OK, so what’s their position? Machine guns at the border? Not going to happen.

What we need is a better overall policy. Let Latin Americans in on short term (but renewable) visas for jobs.

And look at the hideous “legal” immigrants we’re getting. Obama actually issued an order right after he took office that reduced the legal number for Latin Americans and increased it for “people from Muslim countries.” Needless to say, the Muslims get here and go on welfare immediately (because they bring their multiple wives and children).

Don’t be looking to pick up one of Bambi’s legal Muslim immigrants at Home Depot, because they don’t need to work. And once the welfare runs out, they simply overstay their visas (as did Bambi’s aunt and uncle, both collecting state benefits) and it’s all cool.

Does the Texas TEA Party send oil bags to DC?

The kernel..the nugget of it all is taxes, regulation, and immigration

The story of American jobs and labor is deeply intertwined with predatory Federal, state and local taxation and regulation....

South Koreans sleep soundly on their border with NORKS because of American Taxpayer dollars and the American GI.

Why can’t Texans, New Mexicans, Arizonans and Californians?....BECAUSE

Illegal immigration is THE KEY to the perpetuation of the status quo in DC......

Predatory tax and regulatory policies-actions that basically serve to perpetuate and grow governments-leave what business is left in the country seeking disposable labor.

Illegal Labor is the Feds out for preserving the status quo regarding Taxes and Regulation. Interestingly, that is WHY the Feds encourage in-state tuition etc for illegals under-the-table -their presence providing disposable labor allows Federal, State and local regulatory and tax excess in the status quo to continue

Immigration is the ultimate litmus test as to the candidates in question commitment to meaningful regulatory and tax reform. If they are wishy-washy on the subject...they have no real intent to disturb the DC status quo...no matter how big their cowboy hat and six-gun.

Real”leadership” is that which will place Flyover Country’s interest ahead of the Feds....haven’t yet seen anything meaningful anywhere from anybody to indicate that might happen. We have just one more election cycle to make that happen via rule of law. Otherwise its the end of the run for America.

If Perry is going to run for president he should resign his governorship for the good of the State of Texas. But that would make him a quitter wouldn’t it.

The scariest thing in this article is that someone has a title of “Texas Tea Party Caucus Advisory Committee Chair.” That will be the type of thing that marginalizes the TP into just another advocacy group.

“Perry declared sanctuary cities an emergency issue in January and put it back on the legislative agenda in June after lawmakers failed to approve legislation during the regular session. Legislation to ban so-called sanctuary cities – and subject anyone stopped for a traffic violation to document their citizenship – also failed during the special session.”

Stupid article. He can't force the legislature to pass the bill, no matter how many times he calls for a vote.

Tea Party leaders said they thought they had Perry’s support following a June 28th meeting in the governor’s Capitol office.

LOL They better check again! Perry is opposed to police checking for citizenship!

The Leftist agenda to destroy the natural family and children rights and destroy the cohesion of cities and neighbors through massive immigration and strain on infrastructures are obvious.

This Marxism—to divide and create tension and disunity—needs to end. It is such a Marxist attempt to destroy traditions and histories and cultures. (so marxists can redesign the culture and relationships so no one is more special than anyone else in there inhumane egalitarianism which strips life of all meaning, fun and traditions and the mother and father. The state takes children away from the natural family and shapes their new ACORN army.)

If Perry doesn’t clamp down on immigration immediately....he is just another George W. Bush/Clinton-—going along with this sick Leftist ideology of New World Order which will destroy the US and freedom on earth. If Perry were truly an American freedom lover—he would kick DOE out of Texas. That unconstitutional department needs to go...they are corrupting the minds of the next generation, on purpose. Brainwashing the children. TAKE CONTROL back!!!!!! To We the People!!! DOE are NOT our MASTERS to form the worldview (marxist) of our children!!!!!

This Leftist push has been going on for 100 years...thwarted by very few people in government....too few. It is time to kick them all out, call them what they are-—Perry—are you a leftist???????a Fascist?????-—if so, we have to dump him—he will be just another one world puppet.

Words mean NOTHING—most politicians lie....Actions are the only thing that matters in politics.

The article speaks for itself only if you are willing to believe the Houston Chronicle, which is never a good strategy. The Chronicle has an agenda that is anti-Perry and anti-conservative.

If the so-called “leaders” of the Tea Party who were quoted were serious about the sanctuary cities issue, they would have been all over the 101 Rs in the Texas House and the 19 R Senators, but they weren’t.

Perry tried twice this year on santuary cities, and the Rs wouldn’t support it. The Tea Party was NOT crawling all over the Capitol to get the legislation passed, but it should have been. Now these so-called leaders are claiming Perry didn’t do enough and should call yet another Special Session?

Perry’s lead in South Carolina has slipped from 20 points to 3. The closer you get, the worse the stench becomes.

Have political conditions in the TX legislature shifted enough now to be able to pass a bill that puts heat on sanctuary cities? To force Perry to put his signature pen where his mouth is?

The upside for Perry is if he does do this, it will get Tea Party support for his political chances of being the GOP presidential candidate.

This, far more than the Gardisil flap, is what’s going to spell trouble for Perry. I’m finding him to be a bit too soft on the immigration issue.

This “first to file” vs “first to invent” thing is kinda creepy. There are already companies out there whos sole function is to reverse engineer existing products, determine a part of the functionality that is patentable, but not patented, then patent it, and then go back to the manufacturer and demand payment for using their patented method. It can be an unbelieveably small part of how something works - a unque hinge, etc.

I worked with the legal department of a company that had to deal with that all the time.

It was scuttled because one of Rick Perry's biggest donors, one Bob Perry, opposed it. Bob Perry is a big time builder in Texas who has contributed 2.5 million to Rick Perry's campaign coffer over the years. If Bob tells Rick to jump, Rick says: how high Bob?

If this ain't cronysim, then what is?
