Well, friends, here in Amarillo I am working hard at my computer on various pro-life projects as I await further instructions from the diocese. Nothing yet, but being I take my traveling office with me to four states a week, theres never a nothing to do moment.
Its so encouraging to see so many people on the same page with me, loving and respecting the Church and, out of that very love and respect, supporting the pro-life mission we are all engaged in together. Amidst the many expressions of support, many say to me that they are praying for me in this difficult time.
But whats difficult about it?
Sure, its distressing to have to endure false suspicions, inaccurate media reports, and disruption to a mission which is at the core of my life. Thats all the temporary distress of whats happening in these days.
But thats nothing compared to the distress I experience every day because my unborn brothers and sisters are being butchered by abortion. Tears, sleepless nights, anger, righteous indignation this and more come to me each day because something is happening to the youngest members of the human family. Typically, the skull is brought out in fragments, rather than as a unified piece, said abortionist Martin Haskell in 1999 court testimony, describing legal abortion.
This is not happening to strangers. Its happening to my brothers and sisters.
Thats what bothers me. Thats what makes my days difficult, every day, long before this current problem and long after.
The images of their mangled bodies accompany me to sleep and greet me when I awake; the cries of their silent voices mingle in my ears with the voices of those who speak to me; their aggrieved rights come to the forefront of my mind when anyones rights are discussed.
That, above all else, is what constitutes a difficult time for me.
The consolation is that there are things I can do to stop this holocaust; things we can all do together.
Im sitting here in Amarillo right now because Im a faithful and obedient priest, as I promised to be long ago. But theres a more fundamental reason Im sitting here, and its for the children that nearly everybody forgets and ignores. Im here because cooperating with Church authority at this moment is the best way to preserve the mission I lead to save these children, a mission aimed precisely at increasing the Churchs awareness of and response to this holocaust.
But lets be clear. Nobody needs anybody elses permission to save a human life, to rescue a child from dismemberment and decapitation. In fact, to fail to do so is to fail miserably as a priest, as a Catholic, as a Christian, and as a human being. God deliver us from that fate.

Father pavone, some day will be greeted at the gates of heaven by hundreds of million of souls. Good job my faithful servant.
What happened? Is he in trouble?
His Amarillo bishop decided to recall him to Amarillo amid vague hints at the Priests for Life’s finances being in some state he did not identify.
The Church will prevail because of her priests, not because of her bishops.
However, the Diocese has not actually accused Father Pavone of this and Priests for Life has issued audited financial statements for over a decade.
Diocese of Amarillo Issues Clarification Affirming Fr. Frank Pavones Good Standing and Character
Independent Auditors Issue Unqualified Audit Opinion for Priests for Life
Father Pavone is one of most dedicated pro-life advocates in the world, he had not been accused of any wrongdoing and he will persevere! >>>
let’s hope so, I hope and pray things go well for him and for the sake of the unborn... But as they say, things happen in 3’s, in this case - famous priests: first Fr. Euteneuer, then Fr. Corapi and who is next?
Good for Fr. Pavone.
My totally uninformed guess is that the Bishop of Amarillo didn't want another Corapi incident. Here was Fr. Pavone, heading up an outfit that brings in a substantial amount of money, but isn't under the control of the Church. That's a recipe for disaster. It's not just a matter of avoiding a scandal for the Diocese of Amarillo. It's also a matter of saving Fr. Pavone's soul. Had Fr. Euteneuer been more closely monitored, he might not have spread himself so thin and gotten into trouble.
All priests need our prayers. Let's support Fr. Pavone with our prayers, and continue to support Priests for Life with money.
Does anyone know this Bishop, this Diocese? One might suspect that it is not a strong pro-life outpost, but rather that some feathers have been ruffled by this outspoken, honorable priest and a power-play is happening. If the Bishop really were so upset, why, when Father Pavone returned to Amarillo, did he ‘just happen’ to leave the country for several weeks?
Disgusting.
This is most distressing. Prayers for Father Pavone.
Fr. Pavone has always struck me as very dedicated and down-to-earth. I didn't always get that impression from Fathers Euteneuer and Corapi.

yep, I met him a few times, he comes from a good italian family.. let’t hope that things work out for him..
No. A proud bishop is flexing his muscles to put down a faithful prolife priest.
The enemy is WITHIN the Church.
The limit of three has been satisfied already:
Corapi, Euteneuer, and the fabulous “Playboy Priest”, Father Ken Roberts, formerly of EWTN.
I think Father Pavone is in the clear! ;)
That's my thought, Father Pavone is well known for defending and saving innocent life and NOTHING ELSE. The VCII crowd resents those who aren't willing to overlook abortion in favor of the "seamless garment" BS.
The enemy is WITHIN the Church.
Yep.
