Cops say this guy discovered Subway doesn't sell $2 sandwiches and shot the people working there. A man walked into a Fort Lauderdale Subway store last night and asked the two employees if they sold $2 sandwiches.
The employees said they didn't, so the guy demanded cash and shot both of them.
The Broward Sheriff's Office says this happened around 10:30 p.m. yesterday in the 2800 block of West Sunrise Boulevard, and investigators don't yet know who or where the gunman is.
According to police, the man started demanding cash after he was told there were no $2 sandwiches.
The employees complied and opened the register, but the cops say the man shot them "for no apparent reason."
Police say the shooter then left the store without taking anything.
Both of the workers -- 17-year-old Fawaz Farid and 31-year-old Sameer Farooq -- were taken to the hospital after the shooting. Farid was treated and released, while Farooq remains hospitalized, according to the BSO.

It is more likely that he went there intending to rob the place and just asked the question to get a few extra seconds to look around the store and to distract the employees.
I’m glad I live in Reno ... stuff like that never happens here ...

Cincinnati Police continue to look for a man who shot another person Thursday night in Over-the-Rhine... over a beer.
The shooting happened in the new residential developments, just north of Central Parkway. The victim was shot in the forearm.
The suspect reportedly fired two shots when the victim wouldn’t hand over a beer he was drinking. A friend of the victim’s tried chasing the suspect, but couldn’t catch him and he remains at large.
The victim’s wound is not life threatening. Police have not released his name.
Just not lately. That makes it the fault of the Republican house for not giving him more. < / sarcasm >
