President Obama’s campaign team has trotted out AttackWatch.com, a spooky new Web site that asks followers to report “lies” being told about the president.
The apparent point is to drown out opposition to Obama and his policies by encouraging instant cyber-swarms aimed squarely at the critics.
The rollout brought much derision, with The Washington Post calling the site a full-fledged “laughingstock” within hours of its launch. Online satirist IowaHawk wrote, “I’m grateful to live in a country where the totalitarians are so hilariously inept.”
Totalitarian might be a bit over the top. Trolling for snitches, which is what AttackWatch appears to be about, is more like it.

Gorbachev is an unrepentant communist and he would make intellectual puree of Obama in any one-on-one debate. In fact, Gorby would probably laugh in O’s face and roar, “The rightwingers are calling YOU a tyrant!? What a joke!!”

I have often felt that Obama was living in the wrong generation. In his personal quest to revive the dreams of his father, because he, himself had such a screwed up childhood, he is turning the world into his father's social experiment, not realizing that the world now is in a different place. I do not enjoy being one of his guinea pigs.
There were enough dumber than rock idiots that voted in Nov 2008 to put a real jackass into the white hut.
He really is. Everything about him screams the 1960s, his parents' generation. His association with Bill Ayres (60s radical), his fondness for tired-out Franz Fanon Third-World revanchism, and his adulation of Mao are straight out of 1968.
I have often thought this and I'm glad to see someone else noticed it.
