Why Hasn't Sarah Palin Followed Up on Her Crony Capitalism Claim Against Rick Perry?
Posted on 09/14/2011 6:46:47 PM PDT by Carling
Curious. It's been two entire days now, and I haven't seen or heard from Sarah Palin on FoxNews explain how she knew something was wrong as far back as 2007.

Car and his cohorts had an extremely rough time getting swatted around by reality on another thread last night. So I guess he decided to start a new one and hope no one from yeaterday’s PDS fest would notice.

OK lets keep it simple for simple minds...
Former CoS=> Lobbiest => Mandate => Appearance of impropriety
Sorry you don't get it.

She was obviously intimidated into stepping down from her governorship by her liberal political opponents. I never imagined she would have been such a total coward.
(just kidding - trying to get people riled up lol)

Your preference makes you look foolish. But hey, that’s your call.

I agree. She and Bachmann both looked witchy. I have a question for you. When do you think the Palinistas are going to realize she’s stringing them along for the funding? November 2012?

As I understand, she didnt mention Perrys name. Although if the shoe fits, wear it.

Did you watch watch what media commentator Palin said on Monday night? Here is some information for you.
http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-presidential-primary/181087-palin-takes-aim-at-gop-presidential-candidates?page=2
Palin even went as far as to lend her voice to the charge leveled by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) during the debate against Texas Gov. Rick Perry (R): That he allowed a law to go though requiring HPV vaccinations for adolescent girls because of a $5,000 campaign donation and his relationship with his former chief of staff, who went on to lobby for a pharmaceutical company.
"I knew there was something to it," Palin said of learning while she was Alaska's governor that her Texas counterpart had given the go-ahead to the vaccine. "Now we're finding that now, yea, something was up with that issue. It was an illustration or bit of evidence of some crony capitalism."
I'm just wondering why Palin and Bachmann aren't following up on this charge. Could it be internal polling telling them they actually lost support because of it?

Because Limbaugh has sent a warning shot across the bow of both Palin and Bachmann on this issue.

IMO, Palin killed any chance she had of winning any sort of nomination. I'm going to guess we haven't heard from her because she realizes how badly she goofed. Sure, there are 10 or so FReepers who don't see it, but wow, what an error by her if she actually wanted to run for the GOP nomination.

Why should she follow up? It’s Rick who should follow up. It looks like a cozy deal. An unusual special executive order for a company that is VERY VERY special to Perry’s Chief of Staff.
Perhaps it is just the appearance of impropriety, but the appearance is there. Why doesn’t Perry follow up and explain that he has never had a conversation with his COS about his current employment...and release his emails. Sarah’s emails are out there, why not Rick’s?

Sarah Palin, not for sale? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all night. She’s selling a fantasy to the Palinistas and they are buying it hook, line, and sinker. That’s why she hasn’t admitted she’s not running. When she does, the support dries up and her relevance (what’s left of it) goes away.

As an enabler, you would not see RINO behavior
if it was tattooed to you.
"The vaccine, Gardasil, is manufactured by Merck,
which was represented in Austin by the lobbyist Mike Toomey,
who was chief of staff for Mr. Perry from 2002 to 2004. "
2007
On 2/7/07, the WSJ reported that Merck was desperate for cash.
With estimates that the settlements Merck will owe for its Vioxx litigation
will amount to approximately $970 million, and the expiration of some of its patents,
Merck faces a huge cash flow problem.
But if Gardasil is mandated, Merck will generate sales of approximately
$1 billion in the first year alone, with 5 year revenue projections of up to $4 billion"
2007
In 2007, when Texas governor Rick Perry issued
an executive order that all girls entering the 6th grade
would receive Gardasil, parents were furious.
Some argued that the vaccine would promote promiscuity.
The order was eventually overturned."
