Many supporters of Gov. Perry have come to his defense over this Gardasil matter. The arguments are: (1) Gardasil should have been mandatory with the "opt-out" provision; (2) No big deal because the Texas legislature killed the Executive Order; or (3) as Perry says today, he made a mistake, should have made it "opt-in." Now comes word that Perry's top donor was the Republican Governors Association and that Merck began donating to RGA when Perry became its head.
post 219, but it’s in my tagline now too.
You mean this? Big deal!

Perhaps the poster was objecting to my inferring Kim Kardashian is a soiled dove ?
Thanks perfect_rovian_storm:
The Thrombovision money trail looks ugly.
I saw someone purposely squeeze the Charmin in the grocery store

“No cost”? So I guess Merck is donating the vaccines free?
There’s no such thing as “no cost”.
Totally agree, except for Cain and Newt - they at least were explaining what they would do if pres...
Oh, things like this are only a big deal when the other guys do it, right? It’s just fine when ‘our side’ does it...gotcha.
That ain’t gonna fly anymore.
It will fly.
Im predicting that you are a future zot.
It comes and goes. It went dormant on in Nov 2008 with one post in Aug. 2009 only to reappear again on Nov. 5, 2011 with vanity post.
Don’t mock the Texas Messiah. He walks on water, doncha know ?
McCain undermined the Bush White House and GOP majority in both houses.
McCain worked with the Dems and against the GOP at every turn.
Are you sure you want to stand by your sound byte statement that you borrowed from someone else?
*********************
I stand by what I said about Rick Perry! I have no idea what the rest of your post is about nor did I “borrow” from anyone. I posted just what I think about the candidate. I have watched both GOP debates and followed his reaction to the Bastrop fires in Texas. He reminds me of McCain. Take it or leave it.
Thanks for reminding me.
I’ve got to do a photoshop with that theme tomorrow.
Your welcome.
Let’s get it all out in the open.
Go Perry!
” What have I lied about exactly?
Was Rick Perry’s former chief of staff NOT a Merck lobbyist?
Was his chief of staff at the time of the Gardasil executive order NOT the mother-in-law of the Texas Head of Women in Government?
Was Women in Government NOT the group that Merck used to lobby across the country to push Gardasil mandates?
Does Perry NOT have a Rezko-like land deal in his past? (Remember, that video was made for Democrats, so that’s why it’s at a 4 year old level of explanation of the Horseshoe Bay land scandal)
Does Thrombovision (seriously, LOL at the name you know you want to) NOT give the appearance of being a complete scam to line the pockets of major donors?
So, tell me...where am I lying, bucko? Because every time you accuse me of some BS, I’m going to repeat these facts and I’m going to put more links that more people will click, so more people will read about Rick Perry’s vile record of shocking corruption. “
B R A V O ! ! !
It’s amazing how much these cretins behave and react EXACTLY like the Slick Willard supporters. It’s religious (idolatry) worship. Even their fabled talking points playbook is just a reworking of Willard’s (except they can’t pull the Mormon card). The fact that some of the remaining crazies migrated to Ricky is no surprise.
Garadasil is not a concern of mine. Maybe it is a concern of soneone else, but not me.
What is a concern of mine is seeing Barak Obama ousted.
No candidate is perfect, and I really can’t stand Mitt Romney, however, if he is the nominee, then he gets my vote.
Same for Perry, same for any of them, because any of them is a significant improvement over what we have and we we face if we get him again.
We have mammoth unemployment, no growth, and an economy teetering on the edge of collapse. At the same time, we have the DC metro area growing at 3.6%. You think gardasil is the most important issue? God God. The myopic tenancies of some here is revolting.
I don’t like his decision here by Perry either, but persepctive is in order unless you can find a pattern over ten years of similar events, slow down. You like Romney? He’s the only alternative in the field. He’s much, much worse than Perry. Not even close. perry has good and bad, but he’s got a good handle on the 10th amendment and creating a business friendly environment and that certainly outweighs a bad decision on a vaccine mandate that got reversed.
It really is the same stuff. At least we’re experienced with it now.
We’ll just have to break out the holocaust cloaks and storm the castle like we did last time.
