We have mammoth unemployment, no growth, and an economy teetering on the edge of collapse. At the same time, we have the DC metro area growing at 3.6%. You think gardasil is the most important issue? God God. The myopic tenancies of some here is revolting.
I don’t like his decision here by Perry either, but persepctive is in order unless you can find a pattern over ten years of similar events, slow down. You like Romney? He’s the only alternative in the field. He’s much, much worse than Perry. Not even close. perry has good and bad, but he’s got a good handle on the 10th amendment and creating a business friendly environment and that certainly outweighs a bad decision on a vaccine mandate that got reversed.
The only people who want to move quickly are Perry's people trying to protect his record from scrutiny.
He's got a pattern over at least ten years of arrogantly open deals like the Gardasil deal. He's even got a Rezko-like land deal in his past. He's funneled millions in taxpayer funds to a bunch of big donors.
I've been posting links throughout this thread about all of it.
And here’s Perrybot talking point #1.
Well, we certainly have some major issues before us. We need to nominate the best person for the job in countering Obama.
Therefore, I look at it as asking the tough vetting questions at this juncture very important. It is better for us to ask these questions now than wait until the nominee is confronted with them after being nominated.
So, is the HPV Vaccine as important as our economic challenges? Perhaps not. But asking the questions and vetting our nominee is much bigger than that.
