Many supporters of Gov. Perry have come to his defense over this Gardasil matter. The arguments are: (1) Gardasil should have been mandatory with the "opt-out" provision; (2) No big deal because the Texas legislature killed the Executive Order; or (3) as Perry says today, he made a mistake, should have made it "opt-in." Now comes word that Perry's top donor was the Republican Governors Association and that Merck began donating to RGA when Perry became its head.
As of right now, Perry and Romney are the only ones in the group that can beat Obama and don’t bring up Palin until she is officially in.
Of these two, we need the most conservative candidate than CAN beat Obama and that my FRiend is Perry.
I am way more concerned with his illegal alien free for all than the vaccine. Although the vaccine is horrible too. Any intelligent person would not have signed this without proper testing. He screwed the pooch on that one for sure.
Government bureaucrats should not be allowed to make medical decisions.
There is no valid argument against this.
Aha....the emergence of the pro cancer crowd!
AHEM, nobody cares about this two bit thing.....i want to know if he’s letting illegal aliens into the country, makin em comfortable after they settle in and then paying for their kid’s edjakashuns...courtesy of the money he gets from hard workin taxpayin texans. Anybody know? I know one thing Sarah is against both of these ideas.....
So, you are saying that Gov. Perry is wrong now by saying he made a mistake then?
And how about the Merck funds channeled through the RGA, appoximately $250,000, that started when Perry became the RGA head? RGA is Perry’s biggest donor?
That’s just how they roll. They go down their little list in the Perrybot troll talking points playbook...
#1, You just want to elect Slick Willard
#2, You just want to elect Zero
#3, He’s not perfect
#4, Reagan’s not perfect (or various Reagan slander)
#5, Gratuitous insults and threats (You’re a DU troll !)
#6, Questions about your sexual orientation
Would y’all give a pass to Obama if he said Obamacare was a mistake, or if it had not passed Congress?
It is what it is Perry folks. The man is not a conservative. He’s better than O but still pushing left.
But of course, this is all blah blah 'dead horse' or blah blah opt out or blah blah Mitt Romney or blah blah Sarah won't run or blah blah Rick hates cancer.
If you want another interesting one, check out the Thrombovision debacle. It's like a micro-Solyndra except they didn't bother with the whole charade of pretending they'd get the money back.
On a side note, has there ever been a worse name for anything than Thrombovision?
I found that Perry has his very own version of Obama's Rezko land scandal too. Funny, huh?
Ah=Ha! I new somebody was benefiting from this sad misdeed of Rick Perry’s!
Object to government mandating that insurance has to pay for it?
Object to government telling people they have to do it?
There are endless things out there that could “save lives”. Where does it end?
If the vaccine is optional then the patient pays.
If it is on the mandated list then insurance pays.
We can debate the merits of whether or not government should regulate their business, but the have and they do and they will.
So...if you believed that there were people that could use a cancer preventing medication and it was in your power to make it available to them at no cost, would you?
Remember, no one was forced into the vaccine, there was ALWAYS an opt out.
So...would you or not?
>>be subjected to the risks of this vaccine?<<
What risks? So far, everything I have seen says this is one of the safest vaccines ever.
Note I am concentrating on your comment about the risk, not on whether the Government should or should not have created the program.
Well, with all due respect, you don’t speak for “every body” and if you are unwilling to answer the vetting questions than you are no better than those who “vetted” Obama.
Brilliant and accurate overview. Disgusting isn’t it?
Ah, another talking point from the drones. Must note that one down.
Rebuttal: Why is Rick Perry interested in the private parts of 12-year old girls ? He’s a politician, not a pediatrician or OB/GYN.
If you could make no cost cancer preventing medication available to those who wanted it while preserving the rights of those that don’t want it, would you?
Are you really pro cervical cancer? You seem to hate Perry for making it available.
Yup, and thanks to Eagle Eye, we have talking point #7...
#7 You want teenage girls to get cancer and DIE !
(Pray tell, how did teenage girls survive to adulthood before Gardasil ?)
