I know Giuliani is not popular on FR, and he certainly is no perfect conservative, but he is a hell of a man, a hero, and one of the best spokespeople we have on many critical conservative issues. He applied many true conservative solutions to the NYC government, adding many levels of accountability and performance measures to ensure the city’s employees do their jobs effectively, and eliminating the ineffective.
On foreign policy and strength on the post 9/11 war on radical islam, he is fantastic. We need to tip our cap when it is due. Rudy was a great hero during and after the 9/11 attacks.
The difference between Obama’s response to Ft. Hood massacre and the Gillibrand massacre tells me all I need to know about Obama. His Muslim roots show in all things.

This is totally out of touch with the concerns of American people in regards to Obama’s domestic war on terror which he has made into a war on the American people he and his communist pals hate and against all of our constitutional rights and governance in the name of “safety.”
In the tradition of this country’s Leftist termites, Obama has taken up the cause of Islam aggression against the Americans and our freedom in the name of appeasing Islamic aggression. Political correctness is what Obama has installed and it led to the murder of Fort Hood soldiers and it will lead to more terror attacks in the US.
The war on terror has been expanded beyond the military. Obama, in his complete disrespect and hatred of America, has turned Homeland Security against America. It would have been fine for him to inform the public that if Obama only leaves 3,000 troops in Iraq, they will be in danger when radicals/Iran attacks and that 10,000 are needed for them to be able to survive attacks in that country.
The GOP’s constant, mindless war mongering favored by McCain has to stop. We have allies to protect. We have ourselves to protect. What the heck are we doing in Lybia helping radical Muslims take over that country and it’s weapons in a civil war? So the Islamists can conduct wars with State power against Israel and the US? That is mindless, kneejerk abuse of our military and an politically correct, insane pro Islam foreign policy installed by Obama and abetted by McCain.

NO BODY has YET to define what “WINNING” is in Afghanistan OR Iraq.
My definition of “winning” in both places was removing the regimes which were a major threat to the countries around them and to us. We did that already.
Bush’s, Julie-Annie’s and even Obama’s idea of “winning” has yet to be defined.
If by “WINNING” we mean changing these societies into pro-western civilized states with responsible governments, we are out of our minds. As long as they are Muslim tribal societies, the BEST we can hope for is to make them FEAR us enough so they will be less supportive of terrorists. And we DON’T do that by keeping a military presence there, ostensibly to “civilize” them and carry on some kind of mindless police action with our hands tied behind our backs because of “rules of engagement”.
Bush II made a big mistake committing American lives and money in these rat holes after we took out Saddam and the Taliban. We should have left at that point and let them sort out the rubble all by themselves. Instead we stayed and lost a lot Americans and American money for nothing.
As soon as we pull out of both places they will revert to the only kind of society Muslims are capable of creating.
Post Giuliani New York has proven to be basically a progressive sewer. It makes one wonder if the effort to rebuild was really a good thing. The crap the Mayor is displaying now makes one wonder. New York city is bad for America
