I know Giuliani is not popular on FR, and he certainly is no perfect conservative, but he is a hell of a man, a hero, and one of the best spokespeople we have on many critical conservative issues. He applied many true conservative solutions to the NYC government, adding many levels of accountability and performance measures to ensure the city’s employees do their jobs effectively, and eliminating the ineffective.
On foreign policy and strength on the post 9/11 war on radical islam, he is fantastic. We need to tip our cap when it is due. Rudy was a great hero during and after the 9/11 attacks.
I know the lurkers are waiting and watching to see if I will get banned for posting this message from Giuliani but I don’t care. I listened to him this morning and I would vote for him for President in a heartbeat. He has got it right about fighting against the jihad and FOR freedom.
His conservative solutions are that the social issues should be decided state by state. Is that so bad? Is he wrong?
And you are right that he cleaned up NYC and did so with a firm and sure hand.
I didn’t post this to campaign for him but because he is, right now, a lone voice versus the current usurper and I appreciate that the GOP chose Giuliani as their spokesman on this solemn weekend.
I remember the “clean up” Rudy did to NYC. I was born in the Bronx in 1970 and we moved to Long Island in 1980.
When we lived in the Bronx we would never think of going to NYC. That toilet just got dirtier and dirtier.....until Rudy stepped in.
EVERYONE hated him for his “clean up”, when I say “clean up” I mean it both literally and figuratively. He took that dump and made it into the great bustling city is USED to be.
Bloomturd is destroying that bit by bit. Too bad. It used to be a nice place to visit, but the bums are back. I only go there now for a Tea Party, a mooslimb mosque protest or to catch an Amtrak to DC.
