Lincoln's Gettysburg Address? FDR's day of infamy and nothing to fear but fear itself? JFK's ask not? Reagan's Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall? Meh. Not bad I suppose, but nothing compared with Barack Obama's immortal rhetoric, such as when he proclaimed, uh, like, when he intoned, that is . . .
On today's Morning Joe, the unctuous Harold Ford, Jr. went into sycophantic overdrive, telling White House press secretary Jay Carney that President Obama is "the greatest orator that the office has ever known." View the video here.

I believe it was a 4th Grade class!!!!
I was thinking Carney would be perfect cast in the Revenge of the Nerds remake.
All that is missing is the tape on the nosepiece of his glasses.
Obama:
They Bring a Knife
We Bring a Gun
Obama to His Followers:
Get in Their Faces!
Obama on ACORN Mobs:
I dont want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! Im angry!
Obama to His Mercenary Army:
Hit Back Twice As Hard
Obama on the private sector:
We talk to these folks
so I know whose ass to kick.
Obama to voters:
Republican victory would mean hand to hand combat
Obama to lib supporters:
Its time to Fight for it.
Obama to Latino supporters:
Punish your enemies.
Obama to democrats:
Im itching for a fight.
I don’t know. I’ve seen a couple of vacuum cleaner salesmen who were pretty good. I think they could give Barry a pretty good run for the money.
Central Casting’s dream nerd indeed.
Winston Churchill frequently spoke in Commons without notes, offering brilliant original commentary while quoting verbatim from the great works of English law and literature. Obama can’t clear his throat without prompting, and what does emerge from his gullet is often shallow, derivative and most frequently, utterly solipsistic.
I propose a test
Put Barky up on a big screen on one side of Times Square - and Ronald Reagan up on a big screen on the other side
After 10 minutes, let’s count heads
Beautifully put!
Cut it out.
A majority of people change the channel when he is on TV.
I guess I do have a memorable (and totally absurd) Obama quote: “folks would see premiums fall by as much as 3,000%”
He may be a great orator, I wouldn’t know as soon as I hear his voice I get a headache and turn off the radio.
And I am not the only one I personally know that does the same thing.
Sure he is....
lol. Yeah, my first reaction to the headline was to think of Lincoln. What a piker! I think you got the big 3: Lincoln, FDR, and Reagan. Two great men and one great demagogue. Kennedy? Eh, not so much. He did have a couple of memorable lines, but not in the same class as the other three.
Well, let’s judge this from Ford’s point of view.
If his reference point is the comic book or the literature of 20th century rap singers, then Obama is a genius.
Ford isn’t noted for his intellectual prowess.
When a man needs a teleprompter to talk to a 5th grade class, I would hardly call him another Demosthenes. Obama off teleprompter just stammers and spouts sound bites and I am sure hasn’t written any of his speeches without an army of writers helping.
That’s like saying, “And Jamarcus Russell had the strongest arm the NFL had ever seen.”
Wait, no he said ORATOR, I thought he said....Oh never mind!
The Big 0 took Lewinski’s record the day he slithered his way into office.
Obviously Harold Ford, Jr. has a rich fantasy life.
