Palin waiting game goes on
Concord Monitor ^ | Sept. 6, 2011 | Tricia L. Nadolny

Posted on 09/05/2011 10:03:16 PM PDT by Clairity

As chants of "Run, Sarah, run" billowed up from the crowd, Sarah Palin was drowned out by a devout Tea Party audience yesterday in Manchester who believe the former Alaska governor fits her own description of the next president.

"We need people with a proven record of reform and who are willing to take on the tough challenges, run into danger, if you will, not run away from it. We need a pro-growth agenda," Palin said at the Tea Party Express rally, pausing mid sentence as the chants built up.

"We simply don't have time to be bogged down in internal conflicts and friendly-fire conflicts," she said. "The time to secure our future and preserve the blessings of liberty and restore our economy, it's now.

"The Tea Party movement is bigger than any one person and it's not about any one candidate."

But some yesterday said her plan is coming too late. They're tired of the waiting game.

"I think she's dragging it out too long as to whether or not she's going to run," said Robert Clarke of Manchester. "She may be able to deliver a good message, but she needs to get into gear or get out of the way."

John McRae holds a sign in support of Sarah Palin at the Tea Party Express event held in Manchester on Monday, September 5.

***...but she needs to get into gear or get out of the way.”***

But she IS out of the way already. Sarah has yet to throw her hat into the ring.

Maybe Tricia should spend some time hounding Hillary as to why she hasn’t decided to mount a primary challange yet.

Usually, when you have to brace for impact it’s a couple of seconds. Not months. Hold on.

“Gouldrup said Palin’s down-to-earth approach combined with a history of rooting out corruption while governor of Alaska would make her a formidable force if she chose to run.”

Is there anyone else in this race, or even thinking about this race, that this statement could apply to?
The answer is no. Quite the opposite, in fact.

You didn’t read Going Rogue, or you would know better than to post that foolishness.

There is no “waiting game” or “tease”. Those are media memes (lies). Sarah Palin said very clearly that she would decide by the end of September or early October. There is a game being played, but it is not by Palin.

Why should she conform to a schedule as laid out by the Liberal Media or Karl Rove, or any other talking head? Why should she declare? To satisfy pundits like Rove or Morris, the MSM media or her potential opponents?

As soon as Sarah announces that she is running, she will be hit by some of the same garbage that she got the first time. Up until then she is a private citizen, and can hit back.

If anything, she’s showing restraint and patience. So I’ll take Palin’s word for it about her timeline, be patient and conserve strength for the race ahead. I’m not worried about her ability to marshal a nationwide election apparatus in a few moments because it is ALREADY in place. Go Sarah!

Not to hijack this thread, but I just went to Michelle Malkin’s site, and was incredibly disappointed to see that you hasn't covered either of Palin’s speeches.

Does Malkin have a beef with Palin? I know Laura “Inside-the-beltway” Ingraham has problems with Palin and the Tea Party, but I’m really surprised Malkin is dissing her like this.

Very disappointing.

Palin to decide on presidential run by late summer
July 14

http://www2.oanow.com/news/2011/jul/14/palin-decide-presidential-run-late-summer-ar-2110237/

“Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin says she’ll announce her intentions for the White House in late August or early September.”

Now it’s by “late September”.

Hypothetical:

July 2013

Secretary of Defense: President Palin, Iran is on the verge of having nukes. Should we bomb them?

President Palin: I’ll decide by August or September.

Sept 2013

SecDef: What did you decide, President Palin?

President Palin: I am still thinking about it very seriously, I will let you know by October.

October 2013

SecDef: President Palin, you really need to decide, one way or the other.

President Palin: I will decide when I am good and ready, why are you attacking me?

December 2013

SecDef: President Palin, Iran is about to test a nuclear missile, are we going to do something about it, what is your decision?

President Palin: I decided that I will resign for the good of the country.

Amazing how many sheeple have swallowed — hook, line and sinker — the media’s meme that that Palin HAS to get in the race at a time of THIER choosing and not hers.

Actually it was Sarah who said she would have to decide by September for practical reasons, and that she didn’t want to be seen as stringing people along. The reality is she has to declare by November to be eligable for all the primaries and caucuses.

Hmmm, in response to another Freeper earlier you said:

“I posted this article, didn’t even make a comment. What is YOUR problem?”
_____________________________________________________

Now you post this hypothetical? So, you do have a problem with Palin taking a little more time decide? And you’ve never had to take additional time to decide soemthing major in your life?

PDS is a strange mental disorder indeed.

Quite frankly, corruption (of various sorts) is the utmost issue needing to be addressed. Our whole $15 Trillion debt is the result of decades of corruption. Our social problems are the result of corruption. Our economic woes are the result of corruption. And on and on.

This is THE major issue facing the USA.
