In 2005, the Texas State Legislature passed HB 1823, which allowed people with a Contract for Deed to refinance their mortgage and convert the Contract for Deed to a Deed of Trust. They were then able to get out from under the terms of the contract, transfer title to their name, and assume full responsibility for their property and their lives. There were a number of steps homeowners had to take to comply with the law, and they were obviously responsible to pay the mortgage, but it gave homeowners greater power over their property.
ACORN, which supported HB 1823, praised the Legislature and Governor Perry for passing it.
So when folks go around bashing Governor Perry for signing these bills just because ACORN supported one of them, it tells me they are all hat, no cattle, and a person to be pitied. They are obviously not a Texan.

Gee, was a final timeline given for declaration? Or was it finalized when Perry announced, hmm?
For one, she does not have the financial backing like Perry does. She will have to spend much of her new found income, which will quickly dry up. This surely explains why she has not yet entered the race. Something is missing, and does not add up. Her internal polling is also seriously lacking. The RCP averages clearly illustrate what is happening to her so called “overwhelming popularity”. (Not really)
I just would like to know EXACTLY WHO these serial Perry haters are supporting?
I want a contender.
Perry is a contender AND HE IS AS CONSERVATIVE as the NATION is likely to elect.
It is easy to promote the Bachmann and Cain in the echo chamber of FR.
It’s going to be a hard sell on the national stage.
That doesn’t make me a sellout.
That makes me a realist.
They are great options but Ryan and Demint are not running and Perry is a decent option too.
If Palin enters the race it will divide the party and we’ll get 4 more years of horror from Obozo.
The others are not going to announce.
“Happy to enlighten you: OBAMA.”
All I want to say is YOU ARE NUTS!!!!!!!!!!
I have never posted to you and never will again.
Oh by the way I support Gov. Palin.
lol! still spitting in the wind I see.
This explains why she has not entered the race much better:
Sarah Palin runs half-marathon incognito in Iowa-
“Diane Adams told her husband that Palin started the race in the back of the pack, among the walkers, keeping a low profile for as long as possible. Then she ran around them, and took off.”

Just because many here don't fall inline to the big (R) and support who's popular instead of who's RIGHT for conservatism. Many of us are sick of being stabbed in the back by convenient conservatives who suddenly shift right during an election, and whose records show far more blatant steps toward liberalism. We lived through it with Bush, and with McCain. So you can go ahead and fall for the (R). I won't. At least with Obama I see the knife coming at me. With a RINO, the knife is always in my back.
And if Obama wins, don't even think of blaming those of us who held to our conservative principles: blame those of you who settled for the lesser of two evils.
You never advance conservatism by taking two steps toward liberalism, and one step back to conservatism. Never.
And you're absolutely fooling yourself if you think Rick Perry is the conservative standard bearer.
Flat out lie.
BS. Palin is not old news. She is all over the news this weekend. Actually she is the NEWS this weekend. Perry will not win to Obama. No way!!!!
Give me the name of one conservative who has never endorsed a RINO or liberal. I'll wait.
OH SHUT UP! The last time I heard I was damned free to cast my vote to whomever I deem qualified for the job.
Get a grip in yourself, you are damn near hysterical over absolute freaking LIES!
Flat out lie?????? Wow. 38 percent hispanic state and he is doing a lot? I guess your expectations are low.
I am open to a number if options but Perry has the left very very scared so he is polling too well against the Marxist.
He’s had ten years as governor yet his state is one of three where the number of illegals have increased. Big FAIL on Perry’s part. Not to mention the in-state tuition program for illegals.
