Perry Says He's Best Contrast to Obama
Texas Tribune ^ | Sept 3, 2011 | Jay Root

Posted on 09/03/2011 8:11:20 PM PDT by Clairity

Some analysts suggest Perry is too conservative and too controversial to beat Obama, and that Romney would make a better candidate in the general election. The Texas governor made the opposite argument Saturday.

Perry, who spoke at two house parties in New Hampshire, said he was the only candidate who "draws a clear contrast" with Obama.

"The differences between President Obama and myself are great," Perry said in Manchester. "He's lost more than a million jobs while he's been president. I've created a million jobs since I've been the governor."

....

"I don't support a fence on the border. I think strategic fencing is a part of the strategy," Perry said. "If you build a 30-foot wall from El Paso to Brownsville, the 35-foot ladder business gets real good."

As the man kept pressing, Perry said: "You've got to have people on the ground, sir ... and it's got to be law enforcement."

The Texas Legislature would not vote on it. The biggest draw back to it (I did some research on this) was that they feared that American Texan Hispanics would be profiled.
They did not want Americans to be profiled. There are millions of multi-generation Texans of Hispanic descent.

Perry put it on the table in the special session and they still would not vote on it. They would not vote on it in the regular session. Only Perry can put bills back on the table in the special session.

He’s not God.

And the fence will not stop illegals. We must, as Perry says, have boots on the ground. And that is going to take the Federal Government doing it’s job. Texas does not have millions and billions to spend to protect the entire Nation.
Texas does spend millions now but it is not enough. The fence would take years and cost billions. Then it would fail.

See the you tube showing how the fence has worked in CA and AZ.

Perry will also help get the coal/power plant/industry back on their feet also. Natural Gas production will also thrive under his watch.

Better tell Sarah Palin that Rick Perry isn’t conservative.

Money quote from her endorsement letter of Perry:

“He walks the walk of a true conservative”.

:o)

2,000? I keep hearing that she attracts 50,0000 people at every speech, therefore she will beat Obama by 10 points and raise a billion dollars.

True, but do NOT ever try saying anything other than plain worshipful praise of their patron saint on a Palin thread. They are trying to ban anyone who is not with them, or shares their fanaticism on this forum.

As usual, there are little to no limits or civility standards on Perry threads. As you can plainly see.

Let me see if I get this right: Perry created a protected Class, The/his Hispanics who would be insulted MIND YOU for having to show ID, Is that right?

Clue; I show ID to law enforcement and my ancestors were here long before the War of American Independence,I will shed a tear for these Perry Dears for having to obey our laws.\s

The fence is WAY cheaper than paying for this disease and invasion.

Perry will do for the US what he did for Texas, create a business-friendly environment of low taxes, minimum regulations, repeal obamacare, tortreform (which he pushed and got passed in Texas). Texas created 40% of all the jobs created in the US. He doesn’t just talk, he has a record of job creation.

I'm a big fan of Sarah Palin, and a big admirer of her personally, and I can't see her ever acting like her self-proclaimed supporters do on these Perry threads. It's very odd.

With probable cause asking someone if they have permission or authorization to be in the USA is part of a sensible national security program. So now Americans blood and guts are all over the roadways in alien-driving and that’s a more sensible approach? Fed Codes mandate the carrying of green cards on your person
at all times. If the lawmakers were worried about the HISPANIC-AMERICANS being profiled WHO THE HELL IS GOING TO WORRY ABOUT THE AMERICANS as a total group? The Hispanics are the ones getting caught in child-sex slave rings operating under the radar. They killed the bill when grocer Charles Butt,Bob Perry homebuilder,Norm Adams & menopause doctor Hotze made some calls & e-mails at the 99th hour. Every lawmaker that ‘worried” about profiling needs to be fired by the voters.

Total cop out.

How? During an election they all LIE. Perry is for power not Economy.

GOV. Peridot, is as cheap and GREEN as his rhetoric.

I was for him until I learned he opposes a Border Fence, the ONLY way to stem the tide of illegals from south of the border. I’ll not give him money. If he’s the Republican nominee, I’ll stay home.

Well since it was a former cheer leader only the doctor knows for sure, but every time I see him, the ROTC guy in the convertible in animal house comes to mind, I keep seeing the blond with the surgical glove and Perry.

Here is who the liberals intend to USE to win election 2012, I have yet to hear a GOP contender even willing to acknowledge just how hard it is going to be for them to overcome this administration's secret votes. It worked out really well for Clintons/algore in 1996.

Palin is not a bad person, and neither is Perry. She is just terribly over sold and exxagerated in regards to her qualifications. Also, her actual popularity.

Perry is brutally mischaracterized on this forum to the point of radical fanaticism. (Much like Giuliani was in 2008)

Socialist are all the same, government and government office holders do not create jobs, they suck the blood out of those that do, to build the government.

You are right here...he would do the things you listed. But Americans are ready to deal with immigration and will not let them hide under the table anymore. They are ready for enforcement. So the question for Perry is this: “Are you ready to give up your reliable revenue stream from cheap labor interests?”
