I'm still hopeful that Sarah will throw her gun into the ring.

She's far better than anyone in the race, but since only she can decide if/when to get in, I'll just keep my powder dry.

“Some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash,” Palin said. “We need to ask them, too: What, if anything, do their donors expect from their investments? We need to know this because our country can’t afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers.”

So if Palin runs, she isn't going to take big donations? How's that going to work running against Obummers massive cash machine?

Ms. Sarah Palin, that was a magnificent, hard hitting, truthful, factual speech you gave today!!! You hit the nail on the head. We, the people have been waiting for some Republican, any Republican to take failed POTUS Obama to the wood shack, every day, hour after hour, minute after minute. Obama is not for America. Worse, he is not for any American!!! He is for himself and his political cronies, the blood suckers of the American economy whether they are in labor unions. corporate cronies, etc. He feels no pain but his own!!! No pain for the unemployed, not for Black folks, not for Hispanics, not for the common man and woman!!! and....he now has the USA disrsepected all over the world by friend and foe alike. The Middle East with African Muslim, Obama’s help is now purely Muslim Brotherhood controlled. Meanwhile the Republican potential candidates and some leaders of the Republican party hid in the closet, instead of taking this anti-American, empty suit to task, head-on!!! May the good Lord continue to guide and bless you Sarah Palin!!!

[Despite her high-profile endorsement of Rick Perry during his 2010 gubernatorial primary fight, Palin used thinly veiled language to leave little doubt that she sees the Texas governor and national front-runner for the Republican nomination as part of the problem.

“Some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash,” Palin said. “We need to ask them, too: What, if anything, do their donors expect from their investments? We need to know this because our country can’t afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers.” ]

Funny, I thought that was a swipe at Romney not Perry. What makes RCP think that was a swipe at Perry?

well, the most interesting question in politics in a long time still lingers. Is she running? Or is she going to be a forceful critic?

The interesting thing is that everything she said could be said by a Beck or a Limbaugh.

Or a candidate.

With regards to that second category, however, there is a calendar moving forward and it will continue to do so, with or without her. If she runs, she is going to have to make some concrete moves in the next 2-3 moves (organizationally, legally, ballot wise, Fox wise).

If she is going to be a pundit/critic, she doesn’t have to rush a darn thing.

Fascinating to behold.

It was an inspiring speech. I’m always inspired by Sarah Palin’s speeches. But I’ve learned through hard experience that no matter how inspired I am, Palin’s unpopularity among the electorate remains un-dented post-speech.

I’m a Perry supporter(even though I know he has flaws, some of them possibly severe), but I have no problem with Palin holding Perry’s feet to the fire. In fact, I hope she does run. She needs to repair her image, and that’s going to take diligent work in the most serious of forums(such as Republican debates) and in places where less politically inclined voters will see her(which for a lot of people *is* a Republican debate.) I think it’s too high a hill for her to climb in 2012, but I’ll be very happy if I’m wrong about that. If she gains traction among independents and not just the conservative faithful, I’ll more than likely(actually almost certainly) switch my support to her.

“she delivered a speech here Saturday that was as confrontational toward the Republican establishment as it was aimed at President Obama”

That is one of the main reason I like Sarah. She knows who the enemy is.

Seems to me that is more a shot at Romney then Perry

It always strikes me as funny the people that show up on these Palin threads to try and convince those of us who support her how “poorly she's doing” and how “she doesn't have a chance against Obama...blah...blah...blah.”

It seems to me that those who are here dissing Governor Palin are really trying to convince themselves that she has no chance. She hasn't even announced yet, and the PDS’ers are out in force trying to discredit her.

Here's a clue to those of you with PDS: PALIN IS HERE TO STAY...GET USED TO IT!

I would advise all my FRiends to click on the video link @ RCP & watch the entire 46 minute speech.
Big picture: if Sister Sarah’s Tent Revival is any indication, she will blow all other GOP candidates out of the water when she gets in. If she is truly “not for sale” no amount of money, not Mitt, Perry or even Barry’s one billion dollar campaign can defeat her. Sarah is taking it straight to the people; that’s where elections are won.
Sarah IS America at this point in time. She has her finger on the pulse of America, the dangers ahead, and how to change course before it’s too late. She has grace, wit, and incredible political talent and charisma.
Godspeed Sarah! It’s going to be a long tough ride to the finish, but our lives and liberty are at stake.

Mark my words. This shallow, selfish woman is going to run third party just to keep her name in lights. She will guarantee an Obama reelection. She hasn’t got the guts, smarts, or organizational ability to run a successful presidential-level campaign within the GOP.
