“Some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash,” Palin said. “We need to ask them, too: What, if anything, do their donors expect from their investments? We need to know this because our country can’t afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers.”

So if Palin runs, she isn't going to take big donations? How's that going to work running against Obummers massive cash machine?

Exactly! You CANNOT be a candidate and make that statement at the same time. Every single serious GOP candidate needs millions in campaign contributions.

All of the top candidates, Bachmann, Romney, Perry are raising millions. None of them are pay-to-play leaders.

She will raise $1B in small donations and will owe nobody anything.

I’m surprise that you just figured out that Palin doesn’t like big donors and big dollar fundraiser! Last year her PAC only took small donations ( a record in small donations) and didn’t hold any high dollar fundraisers. In the 2008 campaign she told the McCain advisors that she was adverse to pitching high dollar dinners when they told her, she had to do them.....she did a few but told the McCain aids that she wasn’t going to do them again.

That’s why in part Sarah is waiting to get in late - reserving her resources....but she has an advantage against the others and Obama in that she truly isn’t part of the political class

You don't think there's 500.000 people in America that will give her $1,000?

I do.

Once she wins the nomination she has access to "party money".

Still, I believe she could run and raise enough money to win as a 3rd party candidate.

Should that occur you will see over a dozen resignations in the Senate alone. They will run from her in fear.

And, I believe we will see Congressmen, Senators, Cabinet Secretaries and Career Bureaucrats...Wall St and Banking Tycoons...tried and imprisoned for their filthy and illegal quid pro quo dealings.

The American people almost universally know that Wash DC is a corrupt cesspool. They know it on the left, right and in the middle.

They're sick of the sh!t and they want somebody who will take it on.

It wouldn't be so bad if it was just "taking" big donations, but the "payback" after the "donations". It's called, "CORPORATE CRONY CAPITALISM"

Because she is Sarah Palin. I was just thinking watching her speech how genius it is...what she is doing. She got attention, which the newspapers have tried to pervert and twist. Other candidates get a few minutes of sound bites given on tv, of what they are saying or in debates. She has given her whole philosophy in her speech and covered everything she needs to. She is doing what I know she will do, first thing, if and when she gets elected, which is get rid of corruption in government and in her own party. She sees it clearly and understands it. She knows what she is up against and knows what she is in for once she throws her hat in the ring. So she taking control of what she can. She is smart enough to use to her advantage what advantages she has...Great speech, i am back in her corner.
