INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Sarah Palin still isn't a candidate, but in an aggressive bid to lay down her marker in the 2012 Republican presidential race, she delivered a speech here Saturday that was as confrontational toward the Republican establishment as it was aimed at President Obama.
Despite her high-profile endorsement of Rick Perry during his 2010 gubernatorial primary fight, Palin used thinly veiled language to leave little doubt that she sees the Texas governor and national front-runner for the Republican nomination as part of the problem.
Some GOP candidates, they also raise mammoth amounts of cash, Palin said. We need to ask them, too: What, if anything, do their donors expect from their investments? We need to know this because our country cant afford more trillion-dollar thank-you notes to campaign backers.
Again and again, Palin urged her audience to confront the permanent political class, crony capitalism and the good ol boys, whom she said she took on as governor of Alaska.
[.....]
Theyve got a lot of mouths to feed, a lot of corporate lobbyists, a lot of special interests that are counting on them to keep the good times and the money rolling along, Palin said. It doesnt surprise me. Ive seen this kind of crony capitalism before.

I don’t know all the companies, but two of the top seven (Bob Perry the home builder and Pilgrim’s Pride Poultry) are dependent on illegal immigrant labor.
If Sarah should become president and actually take steps to build fencing and control the border, that might be the most that can be hoped for. Then if we had the Congress most expect, that Congress would never approve amnesty for illegals.
A president who would take real steps toward securing the border, and a Congress that would consider amnesty proposals DOA...
That’s far better than anything we might expect from other candidates.
I guess the word metaphor means nothing to both of you, right?
How comforting a fair-weather friend you are to Sarah Palin.
“she delivered a speech here Saturday that was as confrontational toward the Republican establishment as it was aimed at President Obama”
That is one of the main reason I like Sarah. She knows who the enemy is.
‘she supports amnesty
Knock off the disinformation campaign!
Newsbusters:
Recently, it has been implied that Governor Sarah Palin supports amnesty for illegal aliens. This gets bleated by those who find offense at her remark that she supports a path to citizenship for illegals. That does sound pretty damning all by itself.
If you suffer an accute case of PDS, you dont even need this as an excuse to hate the governor, but if you are actually interested in the truth, a close examination might be in order.’
I looked into it. Far left moonbat sites like CrooksandLiars have been going whole hog to smear Palin with the pro-amnesty mantra. Who would get their talking points from some of the moonbatiest sites out there? It’s pretty shifty to use FR as a disseminator of uber-lefty smears.
Stop being a jack-ass. I just want to win in 2012. Don’t you?
Yes. And people who are successful enough to make the kind of cash that it takes to get that much disposable income to give away, back Perry.
Clearly he's pond scum.
Sarah gave a good speech today.
But, you know what, if you've being paying attention, we got a speech maker in the White House.
In the Republican field, sycophants notwithstanding, Herman Cain gives better speeches, is Smarter by an order of magnitude, and has a more accomplished resume.....
Are we making him President?
Facts are persistent, stubborn things, you just can't wish them away by sticking your head in the sand.
You just miss the whole thing by a mile? She’s running against both parties, no one is running current or in the past since Reagan did it. Plus she’s pro free market not pro business (there’s a difference) from the corporate shilling of the Republican party....that runs right up with what independents like to hear but Sarah doesn’t do this to cater towards any group! If you read her book American by Heart she spells out a lot of things because that’s who she is - not a due in the wool republican but an conservative
You don't think there's 500.000 people in America that will give her $1,000?
I do.
Once she wins the nomination she has access to "party money".
Still, I believe she could run and raise enough money to win as a 3rd party candidate.
Should that occur you will see over a dozen resignations in the Senate alone. They will run from her in fear.
And, I believe we will see Congressmen, Senators, Cabinet Secretaries and Career Bureaucrats...Wall St and Banking Tycoons...tried and imprisoned for their filthy and illegal quid pro quo dealings.
The American people almost universally know that Wash DC is a corrupt cesspool. They know it on the left, right and in the middle.
They're sick of the sh!t and they want somebody who will take it on.
Right now she is not running head to head against Obama.
PDS is a measure of some of her supporters.
Most conservatives enjoy having her as as spokesman for the cause.
But, the PDS folks say that ABO, is BS. But Palin believes that ABO is best for America.
You PDS folks only believe in NBP.
Nobody But Palin.
The Country be damned.
nice.
Every state capital is a cesspool. Heck, businessmen even try to bribe mayors of small town. It is all a matter of scale. The bigger the power center, the more the money needed to control the politcians.
There is no Reagan on the horizon, except Rubio.
Sarah, is no Ronald Reagan.
Not. Even. Close.
You don't give that kind of money without expecting something in return. Mere personal philosophy is not likely to motivate that man business folks to give up that kind of money.
I'd bet a little research would show they all give to "winners"...GOP AND Dim.
These folks buy favor and specific political things.
This site is going moonbatty over everyone not named Palin?
Have y’all seen who the President Is?
just askin...
Looks like Perry sold his soul early on! Now, the devil’s come collectin.
Could you kindly make sense of your post to me? I have no idea what you’re trying to say.
Thanks.
