URBANDALE, Iowa (AP) — Sarah Palin is making a surprise appearance at a suburban Des Moines restaurant.

And she was greeted there Friday night with chants of "Run, Sarah, run!"

Hundreds of fans jammed into the Iowa Machine Shed, with the backroom of the farm-themed restaurant overflowing, as people from as far away as Texas, Florida and California strained for a glimpse of the former Alaska governor....

Same experience here,UD.

And when people hear Sarah, it will be undeniably that she is smarter, has more executive experience, and loves America and freedom more than the bubblehead in the White House.

No one can electrify the Republican Party.

We did it their way in 2008 and got Obama.

Now, they do it our way with Sarah, or go home.

We donlt have another four years to waste.

For such a time as this—see tagline.

Best to you.

I think there's also one very key segment, and they seem quite defensive, apparently guarding what they believe is their 'entitled' territory: the embedded, establishment GOP bureaucracy, DC and nationwide.

And they don't seem to be able to deal with or abide (without resentment) someone who goes against their old time format and type in all ways .. from total operational tactics to their chosen selected campaign team to the very nerve of going solo without them.

You know, if you're going to talk about Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer like that, you really ought to ping them ;-)

You're entirely correct about the establishment feeling that Palin isn't playing by the 'rules', and encroaching on their turf. In addition, some of them are also probably fearful for their freedom. She's already shown that she'll root out corruption in the ranks and send people to the slammer.

RE :"Do you EVER give it a rest"

It's a very special day, still about 5 minutes left of it too. It could still happen, LOL

Nearly 60 million did vote for her in 2008 even with McCain on the ticket.

From the Des Moines Register article:

"The star attraction, Alaska Republican Sarah Palin, will speak at about 1:15 p.m. at the Tea Party of America’s “Restoring America” rally in Indianola, organizer Charlie Gruschow told The Des Moines Register today."

I'm sure that's Central Time, so adjust your viewing scheduling accordingly.

Nope, she may not run, but she won't endorse Perry, either:

M. Kelly video from August 18th (11:42) When asked what would make Palin get in the race...

PALIN:(quickly typed)... still looking for a candidate I can get my heart and soul behind to support if I don't see that person in short order I would be willing to put my name forward in the name of service...

KELLY: Have you not found him or her yet?

PALIN: No, I'm impressed with the line up but there still is quite a long process, lot of coming and goings with this line up... I know I'm not the only potential candidate sitting on the sidelines waiting to see things unfold.

To be honest some have said Sarah owes Mac for picking her to be VP nomination. In away she does BUT here is the kicker for me Sarah Palin was destine to be in the lower 48 it just happen a little earlier than expected.

She’s gonna run. She will determine when to announce. She’s not in Iowa to campaign for Perry, or any other C/RINO. She’s there to put here toe in the water...to check out the temperature.

It’s time to stand for America, Iowa. Heat the water til hot. Once she checks it, and removes her toe, then boil it.

That debt was repaid when she endorsed him in his last election. They are now even.

Someone posted today that she doesn't take his calls. He sabotaged her and the campaign. I wouldn't talk to him either. She owes him nothing.

You know, has anyone thought that she might pick someone like Jan Brewer as a running mate? Or do you think she’ll stick with a man?

Sarah already said a couple of weeks ago when the RINO Cowboy was in the race that there was nobody in the field that she could throw her support behind. Besides, I have a better chance of getting a date with Katy Perry, than Sarah Palin endorsing Perry.

I don’t care two hoots about Mac.

My point was Sarah was to big for Alaska. At some point Sarah was going to be in the lower 48 preparing to run for President. It was just a matter of when not if.
