While Sarah Palin continues to stoke the fires and keep people guessing about her Presidential intentions, Republican voters seem to be speaking loud and clear:
All in all, most voters — 74 percent — think Palin should stay on the sidelines in 2012. Just 20 percent think she should run for president.
The groups most likely to support Palin running are white evangelical Christians (30 percent) and Tea Party members (28 percent). Still, majorities of those groups do not think she should run (62 percent and 66 percent respectively). In addition, 72 percent of conservatives, 71 percent of Republicans and 66 percent of independents think Palin should stay out.
Women (77 percent) are a bit more likely than men (71 percent) to say Palin should sit this one out.
Just among women, Republicans (26 percent) are more likely than independents (24 percent) and Democrats (15 percent) to think Palin should run.

So you think that a vote for the lesser of evils is what? Smart? So that in four years, we are right back here not trusting your feelings? How about trusting common sense and logic?
No conspiracy, sadly. A quick check in the archives of any News International newspaper, with focus on the op-ed pieces and the political stories, in the 6 months prior to any of our elections will confirm it.
Just saying - he does it here constantly, but then again he has a lock on something like 60% of the media, both news and TV.
Now his flagship American channel is suddenly putting Sarah Palin, one of his stars, in a bad light? Does that not raise a single red flag to you? It does to me. I have worked for the SOB and know his tricks of old.
Who do you consider the lesser of two evils? I want Obama out. If Palin can beat him, that would be awesome. If Obama is re-elected because we offer up a candidate who voters don’t want, we’re screwed. I don’t think America can withstand another four years of Obama. That is what I care about.
CC, I wouldn’t exactly call you wild, but you ARE a card sometimes. We do think alot alike. Conservative or bust my butt trying.
Watching this play out, and watching the changes, subtle at first, on Fox, not so subtle now, I tend to agree with you.
Doesn’t matter what any poll says now. Believe this,anywhere Sarah shows up a massive crowd shows up,too. I don’t see that happening for anybody else.
The older I get, the more important the approval of my maker becomes. He’s a whole lot more intimidating than some internet words threatening that I’ll just elect Obama if I don’t vote for the lesser evil.
Obama can only make my life uncomfortable.

Interesting....The other day I listened to Perry speaking, closed my eyes and heard GWB. I think that Perry affords Obama with another opportunity to run against Bush....something he has been doing since entering the White House.......Now instead of “Bush’s fault” it’ll be “do you want to give Bush’s failed economic policies, that I have been struggling to reverse since taking office, another shot at destroying hard working American families like yours?
This line of reasoning will not work with conservatives, nor many republicans, but may in fact help energize his 2008 base/voters, and reinvolve the squishy middle, which is the whole point of this exercise.....
Even now Obama is attempting to shift the blame for his failed administration on the newly minted Republican House of Representatives......That’s all next week’s “Jobs” address to the joint session of Congress will be.......A campaign speech blaming the Republicans........
Palin’s association with Bush on the other hand is tenative at best....they’re both Republicans (duh)..... I think her supporters enthusiam will offset in the other direction any advantage Obama would have had running against a GWB sound alike.

The media control in America is much more divided these days, even if it does slant harder than the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
That said, there's no evidence anywhere, from any agency, organization, analyst or outlet to suggest different than what we know now. It's not letting the cat out of the bag to point out that Palin is extremely popular among a certain demographic base, and extremely unpopular outside that base. That trend might be hard to recognize if you only associate within like-minded folks, but it's been pretty well charted.
A lot of the people that we flat out require to win elections, like the hated independents and the thrice hated RINOs, really don't like her. Could she win them back over? Possibly. I don't know. It's just not be honest about the situation to dismiss a lot of consistent data from a lot of sources.

t is much too early in the 2012 election to make that assessment. Methinks your screen name is a deliberate fabrication, to fool those sitting on the fence into not supporting SP. Tell the truth I’ve tunned you out months ago, because of a percieved agenda posting strategy......
I certainly won’t argue that you have the more diverse media ownership - even if most of it is left wing - and maybe my concerns are ungrounded in this case.
But one of the questions I get a lot from American friends (or FRiends - guess I can say that now, having a few posts under my belt!) is how did the UK get in such a mess? One of the biggest contributory factors has been the classic “who controls the media controls the population.” Murdoch is an expert at controlling the media and making sure his staff are on message, something that is not widely known in the USA.
Side note - I always enjoy reading your posts - you tend to do a serious amount of analysis and present it in a way that even someone not familiar with the players can appreciate.
