Palin to Rip "Crony Capitalism" in Iowa Speech
Real Clear Politics ^ | 09/02/11 | Scott Conroy

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Though she won't be a candidate when she delivers a major address at a tea party rally in Iowa on Saturday, Sarah Palin will make it clear that she if enters the presidential race later this month she will vociferously challenge Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s engrained image of solidarity with the tea party movement.

In her speech at the bucolic National Balloon Classic field in Indianola, Palin will lean on loaded phrases like “crony capitalism” and “permanent political class” in laying out her view of the U.S. political system’s deep-rooted ills, according to a source close to Palin and familiar with the content of the speech.

Though she will not call Perry out by name, Palin’s carefully couched rhetoric will leave the impression that she may soon draw more overt attention to one of the Texan’s potential vulnerabilities as a candidate: his history of doling out plum positions and other benefits to generous campaign donors during his nearly 11-year tenure as the nation’s longest serving governor.

“Now we are reduced to watching her feuding over whether she appears on the same stage with Christine O’Donnell who was supposedly one of her soulmates in last fall’s elections.”

Do you know the whole story on this? I don't. Please share if you have inside information on this.

Granny is a log time GOP hack pissed at the treatment Bannon gave the party in “The Undefeated”. Even went so far as to say she should tell him to “fix it”

So you must hate Palin, too, huh? How dare you point out there may be reasons for stringing people along.

Frankly, I don't blame her if she is honest with people but she created the expectation that she may run for president and it looks like the window is closing and maybe she never intended to run. Why would she? Why would she give up what she has for a huge risk to run for president? Just look at it for what it is.

“You may be surprised at what I do know”

I would VERY surprised if you knew anything. So, you have finally said something that makes sense.

I told you I thought she’d cut Perry off at the knees and never mention his name.

First, I have never claimed she was running. Only that I hope she does.

Secondly, WHY someone quits something isn't important? Only that they can be labeled a "quitter". Be careful because IF Perry wins, he'll also be a "quitter". The reason won't matter. You said so.

When it’s your side that does it, it’s an investment. When their side does it, it’s crony capitalism. Not another dime for private businesses.

My point exactly. She has already quit, however. He hasn’t.

You were the one that called him a quitter, remember?

I’m just saying it’s not a real good talking point!

The Cain Train has many stations—jump on!! :-)

It makes him smart. Circumstances change - Obama has declared war on Texas. The best thing Perry can do now for Texas is defeat Obama. And he has the fire-in-the-belly hatred for Obama to really take him on and defeat him. I think with Perry, it’s personal with him and Obama because of the war the little tyrrant has declared on our state. And that’s what I want in a candidate - someone who takes the fight directly to Obama with a real fire-in-the-belly determination. He knows Texas will not survive 4 more years of Obama - and probably our country won’t either. But if The One wins, he will set his evil sights even more on Texas and do all he can to destroy our state.

I must admit, you figured it out, I hate Palin./sarc.

For those who are reading challenged, I don’t hate the woman, I just don’t want her narcissistic personality to make matters worse for the US. She’s not fit to be POTUS! I’ve said all along that I don’t begrudge her for cashing in but don’t string people along if you are only doing it to keep your popularity number$ up. I love my country and fear for it’s future too much to play games with this election.

Palin refuses to be defined by pundits who detest her. This election is different. The candidates have the ability to deliver a message directly to people without the filter of the Old Gray Lady and others. The old days of phones, mail, and faxes are gone. Any message can be delivered in seconds. I don’t know where she gets her news, but I got a funny feeling she read Alinsky’s book.

Every candidate does.

Can you imagine the Gipper waffling around the issue of “to run or not to run ?”

She has already quit, however. He hasn’t.

But was re-elected INTENDING to quit. Remember that all the PDS trolls claim the reason doesn't matter. It's a dangerous MSM meme that "conservatives" have latched onto.

Nope. It makes him a quitter and all the PDS trolls say that the reason doesn’t matter.

To: CajunConservative; All

“She gets $100,000, a ride in a $1200/hour Lear jet/bendy straws for this speech. She got a $7,000,000 book deal with Harper Collins, $1,000,000 per year Fox contract which she hasn’t resigned to run as Newt and Santorum had to do.
She’s not going to give up the perk$ for the POTUS salary.”

Is that was DC has become: a magnet for underperforming losers, because so many of the winners in our society (of 300+ million) can’t be bothered to serve the country?

That would certainly explain a lot of the lousy selections we’ve had to pick from in recent elections.
