A frightening report from Israel’s Ambassador to the US Michael Oren raised the specter that the tottering Assad regime in Syria might lose control of its extensive stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons to Hezbollah terrorists. The Assad government is believed to have killed at least 3,000 of its own people and tortured and injured tens of thousands more in its desperate attempt to cling to power.
The Syrian stockpiles are missile-ready—and Hezbollah already has highly accurate D-class Scud missiles capable of striking any city in Israel. They would simply need to put the two together—a matter of a couple hours of work, and they could launch an attack using deadly Sarin nerve gas, mustard gas, or one of the other illegal chemical weapons Assad is known to possess. As you read the news reports from the Middle East, keep in mind that in many cases, a brutal dictator is being overthrown but replaced by even more radical enemies of Israel.
Yet despite the looming threat to Israel, the world continues full speed ahead on the plan to divide Jerusalem and force Israel to hand over the Bible lands of Judea and Samaria to the Palestinians. My heart breaks every time I read a report of a new threat against the Chosen People. We must stand with them right now!
America is on a prophetic countdown to the gravest days in our history. In less than 20 days (Sept. 21), a vote will be taken at the United Nations that will force America to choose between standing with Israel and standing with her enemies. Israeli leaders have asked the Jerusalem Prayer Team for its support at the United Nations and a week later as the nations of the world gather for the demonic Durban III conference to continue accusing Zionists of being racists. The first Durban Conference occurred in 2001. At that conference, the Palestinians distributed copies of the anti-Semitic The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion to all delegates. It was the most evil, anti-Semitic UN assembly ever against Israel.
The conference ended on September 8, 2001...and 72 hours later, the US was attacked by Radical Islam. I can assure you that in the spirit realm, this was no coincidence. God's Word promises a curse on any nation that touches Jerusalem. Once before, an American President attempted to divide Jerusalem and surrender the Temple Mount to radical Islam. That president was Bill Clinton. Now President Obama plans to do the same—this time by formally recognizing a Palestine State at the UN in September within days of the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
I do not believe for a second that all the economic and political turmoil America is going through is coincidental. America needs Divine intervention that can only come from God's people standing in the gap like Esther.

I know a mechanical engineer who worked for the Baghdad airport before and during the war who told me the story about WMD being flown out to Syria through stripped out passenger jets was true.

That was my first thought too.
I have no doubt that Iraqi WMD’s migrated to Syria. I just wonder how effective these nerve and biological weapons are after all these years. Do they degrade over time?

Orrrr, most likely scenario, the Assad regime will wind up using its stockpiles against its own "restive" population.

Not just a threat to Israel. It's my understanding that Ghadaffi retained some chem/bio capability. Which is missing, maybe he never had it, maybe someone else does.
I happened to be listening to CNBC all those years ago now, when we took Baghdad. Someone calling in from a hotel in Baghdad said that stacks and stacks of papers with specific details on Saddam’s weapons (including WMDs) were acquired by CNN, to be handed over to the US military.
