Sarah Palin canceled her Saturday appearance at a tea party rally in Indianola, Iowa, a person close the former Alaska governor told The Wall Street Journal.
The person cited continual lying from event organizers at Tea Party of America, including a recent mixup over whether former U.S. Senate candidate Christine ODonnell of Delaware would also speak.
Ms. Palin is known for last-minute schedule changes that whipsaw supporters and media across the country. But the latest decision is puzzling. Ms. Palins speech at the rally was viewed as her most high-profile appearance of the summer, fueling speculation she was indeed plotting to run for the Republican presidential nomination.
Attendees were reportedly traveling from across the U.S. to attend the rally in Iowa, which holds the nations first nominating contest next year.
The former governor will now appear at a Friday event in Des Moines sponsored by the group Conservatives4Palin. It is currently scheduled for 8 p.m. at The Machine Shed Restaurant, though the location will probably have to be changed, the person close to Ms. Palin said. Ms. Palin is still scheduled to appear at a Tea Party Express tour stop Monday in New Hampshire.
Ms. Palin may still hold an event Saturday, the person said, though she has no firm plans. Its also possible she could still attend the Indianola tea party rally, the person said.
The former governors team decided to back out Tuesday night after rally organizers re-invited Ms. ODonnell to speak on stage. Organizers had booked Ms. ODonnell, who lost her 2010 bid for a U.S. Senate seat from Delaware, to speak but quickly withdrew the invitation in an effort to avoid controversy.

Well...I’m 60 so if your younger than that I retract the “Mr.”
Someone said of Sarah and her tactics, “Everyone else is playing checkers but Sarah is playing chess.”
45... but I feel 90 ;)
If I was Sarah, I’d avoid being anywhere with nut case O’Donnell.
People compare her to Ronaldus Magnus for that very reason. But even on the Dem side.... Look at Billy C. He was the definition of “bumpkin” but he was able to engage people with out talking over or down to them. Even when he really was, it wasn’t ‘perceived’ that way by the masses.
Palin is “WYSWIG” What you see is what you get.
Obama has one mode...”Lecture”.
He is as uneducated, unengaging and ‘hollow’ as it gets in whatever room he walks into.
I disagree...partly. I think they are in stage 4 right now...but you are right...It ain’t a pretty sight ;)
She will not be the VP.

You're right. Pointing things out to the uneducable is a useless endeavour.
Well, a person can run, but they can’t hide. She endorsed O’Donnell. Just because O’Donnell lost is no reason to crap on her now.
Oh....the irony....
Seems to be the mantra here lately.
This story was a plant
Who did it?
two sources close to Palin, my butt
Who said she was Lindy?
BTW, it’s been a week and a half. Still waiting for that apology.
“my wife thinks shes angling for next Arizona senate seat...a job for life”
Palin says she’s not planning Senate run in Arizona
Sarah Palin says she isn’t considering a 2012 candidacy for a U.S. Senate seat from Arizona.
The former Alaskan governor tells KNXV-TV that running for Senate is not her plan and that she hasn’t considered a Senate candidacy in Arizona.
Her comments came Friday during a brief interview at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix.
Yeah....edumacation involves the skillful use of obtained knowledge, which is not what ur peddlin....lol
Polls are good for only one thing.....and that’s a gentleman’s club!
Someone kept pushing Sep 3rd as the announcement date, give or take. I can’t remember who though. I keep thinking she won’t run, and she has not impressed me with this non-decision. It seems like she just wants to do what Huckabee did, and string people along for $$$ sake.
