On Tuesday's NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer began a hostile interview with Dick Cheney by running through various derisive labels for the former Vice President: "You've been called 'controversial' and 'divisive.' Some people have called you the most divisive political figure in this country in a century." Cheney simply quipped: "You left out Darth Vader." Later, Lauer interrogated Cheney on interrogation tactics used on terror suspects: "If an American citizen were to be taken into captivity in Iran, for example, and the government of Iran....Would it be okay for the Iranian government to waterboard that American citizen?"

Exactly. Any smart, conservative with a sense of humor should go into the lion’s den in order to plant the seeds of common sense into the few craniums harboring fertile soil.
Attention. Remember this boys in school who couldn't get the girls to look at them? So they'd act up and be obnoxious? Same thing. Lauer doesn't have enough skill to make it on talent alone.
Well, I’m thinking everytime Lauer opens his liberal “progressive” mouth about any conservative, that picture should be posted somewhere!!!
It would “almost” be worth the felony assault charges to punch Matt Lauer in the face.
That's a shovel ready job that would employ thousands. Barry should mention this work opportunity in his next "Jobs Creation" speech.
I see things haven't improved there (not that I expected them to) since Perky Katie left.
Gosh I miss her Perkiness. She was just so... perky.
Matt Lauer is, and always has been, a girly-man. A sissy. A putz. A weenie.
*shrug* I have no idea what Cheney thinks about the citizenship thing, but his silence makes me think he doesn’t believe its an issue (neither do I).
And I did see the Obama portrait in Eureka. Not all that thrilled, but
during the Clinton years, the number of shows that managed to
get Janet Reno's portrait in shots was even more annoying,
particularly after she claimed responsibility for Waco.
Matt Lauer is nothing but a pimple on Cheney’s or anyone’s butt. Totally irrelevant.
We have to consider that it’s Lauer’s time of the month.
More divisive than Obama?
And when the interview was over Cheney was still a man and Lauer a blood sucking nit.
If I had been in the place to answer Laur’s question, I would have said something like:
If the dead journalists could have had their choice between being beheaded (as they were) or waterboarding, which do you think THEY would have chosen?
I agree a lot of it is about selling the book probably sorted out by the publishers. I am sure also part of him still enjoys scoring points with liberals as well it is in his DNA
