AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

Just because it’s old doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give the date.

Palin: ""Peace-seeking Muslims, pls understand. Ground Zero mosque is UNNECESSARY provocation;"
So, all you Muslim-haters, how do you feel about Palin writing about "Peace-seeking Muslims"? I thought there weren't any of those...
To: DRey
Yes, dear. Oh dear is it? LOL Wow..., glad to see you're not upset.
And I read your links, as I told you I did. And I thanked you graciously for them. And you turned into some kind of deranged lunatic. The link was Governor Perry's own web page. There it states, "Perry introduced his Trans-Texas Corridor plans." Paraphrased. At which point you claimed this wasn't Perry's plan at all, why it was everyone's idea but Perry's. I called you on this, and that is supposed to make me a deranged lunatic.
If you hadn't pulled a high-riding WITCH on me, I would be happy to enlighten you as to Perry's wonderful accomplishments. As it is, you are not remotely interested in anything about him except trying to dismantle him. Funny thing isn't it, a Conservative trying to dismantle a pretend Conservative that is clearly undeniably a massive RINO. And you expected something different on this forum?
And doing a pretty piss poor job, at that, dabbling in the liberals' and Kay Bailey Hutchinson's fantasy issues that didn't stick to him then and won't take him down now. Liberals? You mean like Rick Perry? Oh okay. I'm not here to defend Kay Bailey Hutchinson, or anyone else. I'm here to take a RINO to task, for trying to pass himself off as anything but a RINO.
How's that workin out for ya?
Oh that's right, all Conservatives ran campaigns for Democrat Marxists in the late 80s. They were all saying they wanted open borders. They were all introducing massive government projects that would abscond with 70,000 acres of private property in Texas alone.
I am so unfair to Conservatives...

It was an oldie, and a goodie — Perry opposed building the ground zero mosque, just like Palin. But as Governor, he also acknowledged that the local zoning board had the right to make decisions about a local building issue.
Now, I’m sure that a lot of good conservatives feel that the WTC, being the site of the attack on our country, should be nationalized, and the federal government should decide what can be built there, and should override the local planners and force them to do the fed’s bidding.
And maybe they are right, and I’m guessing that if you want a president who will try to override local decisions with the wisdom of the federal government, Perry probably isn’t your candidate.
He’s like the annoying guy who keeps saying “I hate what you are saying, but I will defend your right to say it”, something conservatives usually like unless the person is saying something they don’t like, then they want to silence them.

All Muslims use the Quran as their holy book. The Quron calls for Muslims to eliminate all Jews, Christians and non believers by force if they dont convert. I don't know enough about islam to call you on that but I've heard it before so I'll take your word for it. Even so, what should be done with muzzies? Put 'em under 24 hour surveilance? Deny them a permit to build a mosque? Deny them the ability to assemble? Deport 'em? What would you as, say, a governor of Texas do? Or as president of the US or mayor of a city for that matter?

His supporters are gonna have to play Whack-A-Mole to defend all the canards thatll be coming up. Canard: a false or unfounded report or story; especially : a fabricated report; a groundless rumor or belief
So actually, Bronze, the Perry supporters, and also those of us who actually care about truth and debunking fabrications, have already been DEALING with all the canards that a few freepers have been posting here the past few weeks.
But I'll give you props for admitting that you are going to innundate FreeRepublic with so many false, groundless rumors that Perry supporters are going to be full-time debunking your canards.
Although now they can just link to this post of yours, and save themselves the trouble.

Ill tell you what stinks here. The fact that Tempest chose to post this 13 month old bit of crap, a week before the anniversary of 911 for maximum emotional effect.
So what? Should the thread be banned, omitted, deleted...Should the truth be burned in a ditch? Should we be forced to forget?

I mean, what's the big deal?

Perry said he thought it was a bad idea to build the mosque at ground zero. What else would you have him do? Would you recommend he strap on his six guns and go up there to keep the muzzies from bringing in the construction crews??? This battle belongs to the people of NY and NYC for the most part. We’ll see just how well they acquit themselves in the face of this abomination. I hope they realize they’re not just fighting for NYC, but for the whole country. I support them in this fight. From Rick Perry’s statements, I believe he does too.

I don’t hate Rick Perry. I just don’t think he is in any way what we need to turn around the Obama nightmare. You just say Perry did this and he did that. I asked you for spacifics and you have dropped the ball.
