Dallas morning news ^

AUSTIN - Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White agree that while plans to build a mosque near Ground Zero have stirred controversy, they don't object to a local decision affirming the Islamic group's right to build it. A New York City planning commission voted this week to clear the way for a planned Islamic community center and mosque near the site of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

You weren’t current in your understanding then and wildly out of step with facts now.

Once upon a time algore was pro life and you know that!

I don’t believe that you can find anything that shows Perry to be anything other than pro life...unless maybe he once ate some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and we all *know* how since they are left leaning environmentalists that they must be proabortion and since Perry might have eaten Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, he, too must be pro abortion, right?

They react like Temper, South40, and Buccaneer on this thread.

React? I posted facts in post #72.

A reaction is what the Mitt Perry supporter wrote in post#87.

You got it! They react...

Seems like a procedural right is a delicate thing.

That issue is paramount and the reason that I will not support Perry.

I already told you, I don’t follow South40s links...or yours, for that matter. Neither of you have spoken a word of sense since Perry announced. I will, however, be checking back after Palin endorses Perry. I believe a few tunes will have changed by then.

He touched on the Tenth Amendment, rather than address the travesty for what it was/is.

His answer should have been, “I am aware of the effort to put a mosque on property where 09/11 debris came to rest. I cannot support that in any way shape or forum. I am against the very idea of that on any level.”

What does the Tenth Amendment have to do with this?

Another-words I can’t say anything against it, because of the Tenth Amendment? Really? Perry can’t? Really?

You know better than that. The Tenth Amendment doesn’t give people cause to shy way from addressing facts.

It’s okay, EE. By the look of your homepage, you’re obviously compensating for some flaccid shortcomings. (Dude, they have people you can talk to about that. Really. It’s okay.)

You are edging on delusional...Rick Perry continued what was working for Texas when he took over as Governor when W left. Now he has also created a great job climate...he has brought new business to Texas which has brought more jobs...we have a cooking economy and jobs...he has been in office over 10 years...so you just think that happened on it's own and you will not give Rick Perry credit for that. That's delusional in my books....don't be blinded by your obvious hatred for Rick Perry...face the truth...Rick Perry and Texas Jobs Numbers And there are plenty more truthful articles on his job creation ability.

Rick Perry is just as much as pro illegal immigration supporter as Obama. But he has an R by his name.

He’s as much of a flip-flopper as John Kerry, but he has an R by his name.

He’s as corrupt as Rod Blagoavich but he has an R by his name.

“Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty.” Thomas Jefferson

Unfortunately, there are too many self-proclaimed conservatives who prefer their own brand of unconstitutional federal despotism forced on the states vice limiting the federal government to its constitutional authority.

The conservative movement is lost if this is what we’ve evolved into... statist-lite.

Why the design?

It’s the semblance of the destruction of the Star of David (the Jews).

Why Park 51?

Cordoba House changed its name to Park 51 which is odd since the address of the location is 45 47 Park Place.

Look to the Koran-the book of islamic conquest Qur'an CHAPTER 51, Verses 45-47 explains all:

51:45 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 51:46 And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient.

51:47 And the heaven We constructed with strength, and indeed, We are [its] expander. The numbered Qur'an verses celebrating the Muslim conquests match up to the Park 51:

45-47 address.

Then consider

4+5=9
4+7=11

All coincidence. Right?

Southern democrats didn’t support abortion until recently...at least after Reagan. But then you already knew that. That fact doesn’t work with your fantasy.

Southern democrats didn’t support abortion

Membership in a party that has abortion as a plank in its platform is support.

Which is exactly why we still have this issue before us.

Nobody wants to take a stand, even if the locals are dead set against it.

There’s no reason to address this as a Tenth Amendment issue.

Do you support the mosque there or don’t you? Period.

This guy is so darned afraid of offending someone, he answers two different ways so he can please everyone.

Show me a guy with some backbone, I’ll be a lot more likely to back them in their endeavors.

As president, you don’t have to take unilateral action to get certain things done.

I believe Obama could have exerted influence to avert this problem. If Perry were president, I think he could also.

This mosque is unquestionably an affront to citizens concerns regarding the sanctity of 09/11 debris final resting place subsequent to the event.

Getting tangled up in the Tenth Amendment here, seems ill advised and silly.

Nobody, including me, expects him to come in and issue an edict, so why bring that up.

LOL..typical projection of your problems on to others when you know you can’t possibly measure up to them!

Or were you offering to counsel me? I appreciate the offer, but I’m hetero. Sorry to break your heart.
