Texas Gov. Rick Perry has a commanding lead in the 2012 GOP presidential race, and that wont likely change if tea party favorite Sarah Palin decides to run, a new CNN/ORC International poll indicates....The polls data show that, for now, Mr. Perry is the clear favorite of tea party supporters. Ms. Palin won support from 10% of voters, leaving her in third place just ahead of Mrs. Bachmann.

Hate to break it to you bub, but already said while in Iowa she is not running for Kyl’s seat. But keep trying!
I look at it more like Cheney being sent to find a VP for Bush...
You are welcome to look at it that way, but Cheney was picked for his experience, not to balance the ticket with a conservative VP.
Sarah was not an experience pick (obviously), she was a sizzle pick.
What’s the deal with all the sniping of other candidates. I am not loyal to any yet because we are 5+ months away from the PRIMARY SEASON. Personally I welcome any and all to hop in if they want and let the competition of positions proceed. Palin can jump in at her leisure if she wants and that’s fine. I believe she has until mid-October to qualify for Iowa and NH and if that’s her strategy (or what not) so be it. Perry has an impressive lead at this point but no doubt a Palin entry would significantly shake things up.
No problem. I’m not like RED SOUTH pulling things out of me behind and I don’t live for this stuff. I do try and keep up, though.
Snort.
I was talking about her waiting out the current field for an acceptable candidate.
You are so funny.
In order to be kingmaker, there has to be a prince in the field. She’s stated there isn’t anyone in the race yet worthy of being king- including Perry.
Obviously, because everyone knows you don't conduct a poll the week before someone is rumored to be entering a race. That would be so unfair.
CNN should have waited until Palin announces her intentions. Just another of the usual liberal ploys. And if anyone requires a sarcasm tag, they're hopeless.
Link? A lot of us would like to see that. I dont recall her saying that at all.
I don't have a link but I clearly recall Sarah saying that at least once, if not twice, recently.
She’s waiting for McQueeg to declare, then?
I’m not a Perry drone, though I’d vote for him if he gets the nomination. I think Sarah should get in, let’s see what’s she’s got.
Sad thing is, Perry will probably pick some RINO from the NE for VP to blunt his religious image.
We could use the 2007 method for predicting the nominee. Whoever is the most hated at FR will get it. See, McCain, 2007.
You’re probably right.
Oh, I see, misread your comment. I hope she gets in, I’d like to see how she does.
That was my first thought, heh.
No need to look at the poll. She will support the nominee.
Hell, she ran with McCain!
Actually she said any of them would be fine, including McRomney.
I saw one interview where she was talking about that. I can’t remember exactly what she said, but it was something I took to mean she wasn’t ready to throw her support behind anyone in the field yet. And why would she since she hasn’t ruled out a run herself yet?
Heh, heh, heh... CNN/ORC are blowing smoke up their own ass.
In their dreams. If Sarah runs the reaction will be, to borrow nobama’s new fav meme, “HISTORIC!”
I don’t hold that against her. What got me was when she endorsed the jackass for reelection in 2010.
