Texas Gov. Rick Perry has a commanding lead in the 2012 GOP presidential race, and that wont likely change if tea party favorite Sarah Palin decides to run, a new CNN/ORC International poll indicates....The polls data show that, for now, Mr. Perry is the clear favorite of tea party supporters. Ms. Palin won support from 10% of voters, leaving her in third place just ahead of Mrs. Bachmann.

That does remain to be seen...she’s not in yet..but time will tell...regardless Palin isn’t done with Washington by any means.
So doing the right thing in the interest of Alaskans and past ethics violators is somehow her fault?
Not to mentioned he LIED about not running for President. He said in a debate that if he won the governorship, he would NOT run for President. So that makes Perry a liar, too.
If Palin should win the nomination Obama will only have to run one ad and win in a landslide. The phone will ring, the clock will show 3am, and no one will answer. The voice over will be, oh Pres. Palin isn't here, she quit." One and done!
People can justify her quitting any way they want but the bottom line that screams is she quit. Quitters have excuses, winners don't need them, she needs them.
....”For starters, because Palins record [though much shorter] is much more accomplished, substantitive and solid......”
....”The Alaskan Constitution gives more responsibility and power to the governor of that state. The Alaska governors veto can only be overriden by a 3/4 majority and is the CiC of the Alaska National Guard which is the first line of defense for our national security...... That governor requires a higher security clearance than any other....”
......” Even though her term was cut short, she fulfilled every campaign promise she made and had an 88% approval rating”......
Some posts just speak volumes. ;)
Perrys pick, Judge Xavier Rodriguez?
NOW likes him, sort of.

This is the abortion case that provided them with a reason to like him

Senators Kay Bailey-Hutchinson and John Cornyn liked him so much they urged Bush to appoint him, which he did. Brilliant. Simply Brilliant.

The Trans Texas Corridor people like him, at least a little

He liked David Souter as a model for judicial thought. Um, Souter is seriously not conservative.

He gets mixed reviews from attorneys who litigated before him

Steven Wayne Smith, a strong opponent of affirmative action, and a whole lot of Smith endorsers in the Texas conservative universe (see bottom of article), didnt like him, which is why they were backing Smith, despite Perry’s disapproval.

There are other issues with Rodriguez, but I am out of time. Suffice it to say, yes, this was a questionable Texas Supreme Court pick for a guy making himself out to be the grand conservative alternative to the current administration. Pffft!

You’re blowing hot air about Palin resigning her position. Many other politicians do likewise.....you make it sound like something that never should happen...it always happens!
You have that right. I also saw a video where someone from Alaska asked Todd if they sold out for the $$$$$ and the answer he gave was “what would you have done?”. Serving a half term isn’t enough experience for what will need to be done after 0bama’s reign of terror.
How do you explain your boy breaking his promise not to run for President, and then running for President on the Texas taxpayer's dime? How about his ties to Merck? Knee-jerk nanny state reaction with Gardasil, and then saying he 'didn't read the facts. Just like Pelosi who said 'we'll read the bill after we pass it!' And how about those sin taxes? A little more nanny state tactics... we'll tax you out of your bad habits! And illegal immigration... Yeah, he's done a bang up job there!
More illegals finding their way to Texas. Must be that in-state tuition!
Oh wait...
Number of illegal immigrants getting in-state tuition for Texas colleges rises
So if you want to compare vetting and records, BRING IT. I can't wait to see you cry (like you are now) when the MSM gets their teeth into Perry.
Even a marginally successful distribution of “The Undefeated” via cable or in store sales completely takes the resignation off the table.
If its the former, shes being even more divisive within the than I was giving her credit for being.
Interesting that you posited a negative allegation about Palin's (supposed) behavior before you even got an answer to your question.
But, you're being objective, and simply seeking the truth, right?
So you’re comparing the actions of Palin’s father, in the 1960’s remote wilderness of Alaska/Canada in a pre-universal healthcare system in Canada to that of the Texas / Mexico border cities of 2001-2011? Hilarious! Yeah, I bet those crazy 60s Amish illegals in Alaska/Canada were costing taxpayers millions!
My, how the mighty have fallen....
"A new Alaska Poll released today shows 61% of Alaskans have a "very unfavorable" or "somewhat unfavorable" opinion of Palin, a former governor and the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee.
Thirty-six percent view Palin positively, according to the survey by Dittman Research & Communications."
USA Today, "Sarah Palin 'fatigue' diagnosed in Alaska poll", 4/20/11
Yea, but she could have staked out consrvative ground before Perry got in....3 time governor vs. 1/2 time governor. Tough choice.
These people are crazy.
re: “...I dont understand why people are supporting Rhinos.”
Me either, especially in the primary. We may have no choice in the ABO general.
