President Downgrade cut his vacation short to make an appearance at the Hurricane Command Center for a few pictures yesterday.
Apparently, not everyone was impressed with this obvious publicity stunt. Here is a sampling of the comments from the Yahoo report:

He won't have to. His rumplicks in the media will be sure to tell you what a magnificent job he did, commanding Irene to take a chill pill and lay off his peeps.
Why, his very presence at the command center steadied the nerves of the whole nation, and saved the lives of millions!
We have had almost 3 1/2 years of this wicked little creep waging war against America. It is almost Biblical.
We should all bow down and thank Obama for calming this potentially catastrophic storm.
But seriously, does anyone remember the one a few years back that was barreling north in the Gulf as a strong 4 and then diminished to a 1 or 2 right before landfall? That was as close to a miracle as anything I’ve seen but I can’t remember which hurricane that was.
There are now 2,184 responses. I think I scanned about 1,000 of them and ALL were extremely negative except for one! Is the country finally waking up?
What else was he gonna do? Bake cookies with Mee-Shell?

I’m waiting for them to tell us how he ran to face the ocean and held-up his staff to command the wind to cease. They will bronze the rock he stood on and hit their knees in praise of their glorious new moses.
He will then write ten new laws some of which will be THOU SHALL PUT NO OTHER POLITICIANS BEFORE ME, THOU SHALL LIE, THOU SHALL STEAL, THOU SHALL COVET THY NEIGHBORS GOODS etc. and they will worship and adore him. s/
No we didn't. Besides that, the President is not elected by the public vote, but by the Electoral College.

After he lost, and was finally out of the Governor's Office, he slinked
off to Hawaii to teach for a while.
I thankfully lost track of him after that.
