Former Vice President Dick Cheney’s memoir is released on Tuesday and it promises to give a lot of behind the scenes insight into the Bush administration.
But is it too tabloid-y? That’s a complaint coming from former Secretary of State Colin Powell. In an appearance on Sunday’s “Face the Nation” on CBS, Powell had a lot to say about how Cheney has been promoting his book.
“My head isn’t exploding and I haven’t noticed any other heads exploding in Washington, D.C. and the explosive part of the book is when Mr. Cheney says is explosive,” Powell said.

Colin Powell, to my mind, is nothing more than an affirmative-action hire who just happened to “be there” while guys like Norman Schwarzkopf were winning the first Gulf War. He puts me in mind of General Casey in “Mars Attacks,” although I have a suspicion that’s more than coincidence.
I read the article, and Powell’s head is exploding. LOL!
Same here. I’ll be picking it up when it is released. As for Powell, his 15 minutes are up. He needs to stick to kissing Barry’s ring and feet.
Didn’t Colin write a book that no one read? I am very tempted to get Cheney’s book and I never buy bios of living people.
If you read from Chapters 17 and 18 of H. Norman Schwarzhopf’s book “It doesn’t take a Hero” he didn’t have alot good to say about both Cheney and Powell.

“I think he is a transformational figure, he is a new generation coming onto the world stage, onto the American stage, and for that reason I’ll be voting for Sen. Barack Obama,” Powell said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
Powell said he was concerned about what he characterized as a recent negative turn of Republican candidate Sen. John McCain’s campaign, such as the campaign’s attempts to tie Obama to former 1960s radical Bill Ayers.” (he didn’t like the truth being put out on the grand ‘inclusive’ historical black candidate)

THUD! Colin Powell becomes irrelevant when he KNOWS his preferred candidate is a Marxist anti-American, totally against his own principles...but he’s an ‘inclusive’ man with one black gene.
Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t it Powell who convinced Bush 41 not to drive into Bahgdad and take-out the other Hussein?
How does he know if its explosive or not if he hasnt read it?
Powell should have been kicked out of the Army for negligence in the aftermath of Vietnam´s My Lai massacre, and we could have been spared having him in the national spotlight all these years since.
Powell says it is a “rehash” of events from 7 or 8 years ago?
